I REALLY LIKE THIS RAZOR BUT THE PLASTIC PARTS ARE PRONE TO BREAK QUITE EASILY. AROUND THE BLADE SCREEN HEADS. I HAVE HAD ONE LIKE THIS WITH METAL HEAD AND IT HAS LASTED FOR OVER 10 YEARS TILL THE BATTERIES WORE OUT,. I HAVE BEEN USING NORELCO SHAVER PRODUCTS FOR OVER 20 YEARS. THIS ONE WASN'T QUITE SO GOOD TO ME.

This shaver is great and gives a fantastic shave. It is easy to use and with the light weight I hardly know it is in my hand! I use it to shave my head also, and get a great shave there also.

I had to replace an older shaver, and purchased this one. Very comfortable and light weight. It gives a very close shave, then I just rinse the cutting heads. Good to go for another top shave!

Excellent Diverse and Durable Handheld Shaver

Being an avid shaver, I received the Philips Norelco Series 3000 Shaver 3100 as a free sample for writing this review. Overall, I am very pleased with this handheld shaver in general as well as comparison to other shavers I've used in the past.
My favorite feature is the waterproof aspect and the ability to shave in the shower for the best smoothness, closeness, and comfort. Even without water or extra lubrication, it was still an extermely close and comfortable shave with minimal irritation.
Having the option to shape my beard is essential, and the precision blade that pops out is perfect for shaping as well as the neckline. Ergonomically, it is an ideal shape to handle the unique shapes of my face and neck.
I plan to continue using this shaver for maintaining the shape of my beard or staying clean shaven without ever worrying about water damage or where I shave due to its durability. It's a great product for anyone looking for a high quality waterproof handheld shaver.

Cons: achieving perfect accuracy

I have been using a competitors product for years and decided to give this one a try without spending a lot of money.
For me it looks like I would have to spend considerably more to be happy with the quality of shave.
The motor just doesn't seem to give enough RPM's to do a good job.
Also didn't give a close shave,as, there was stubble left when finished.
Bottom line is I wasn't't happy with the shave.
