Pros: closer shaves.
Cons: difficult to manuver around mustach.

This razor has always given me the best shave. I have tried some of the other shavers out there and this one always out shaves them all. I have used a regular razor blade in the past but found that this razor gives me the same close shave, but without the nicks and cuts. Great razor I would recommend this razor to anyone.

While I normally use disposable razors, I received a this Norelco in exchange for writing this review, because I wanted to test it out, and it compares favorable. While you can`t get the same type of shave that one would with a straight edged razor, the difference is indistinguishable in looking in the mirror.
The razor charges very quickly so it`s always available for use. The shaver does a good job in getting to the tough to reach spots, whether my face is wet or dry, which is important to me.
The one part that could use improvement is the side burn pop out. It is pretty flimsy and does not do a great job for what it is designed to do. One would hope that this would have been made more in line with being sturdy rather than just being able to fold back while you are doing your side burns.
Overall a good product for someone that wants to have a quick shave that does the job.

Just received the product recently and I am very happy with its performance. I had 3 days of stubble growth and the shaver powered through it. Many shavers I have had in the past would leave some of the finer/softer hairs behind, however, not model S3310/81. I have to say that this is the cleanest, most efficient shave I have ever experienced.
Pros: easy to clean under hot water, long battery life of 45 minutes per charge, extremely close shave, can handle stubble w/ 3 days growth
Cons: no cleaning brush, no storage unit provided, no countertop stand and/or storage unit provided

I love Norelco I have a tough thick beard and Norelco products have always done the job without issue. I change out the blades about once a year and have worn out a few shavers in the 36+ years of using Norelco but with my beard I am amazed they lasted as long as they did.
My son bought me a different brand for Christmas a couple years ago and it didn't last very long at all (9 months) so I went out and bought my current Norelco and as expected it is great. I highly recommend this brand.

Good entry-level shaver for quick and tidy shaves

I received a free sample of the Philips Norelco 3100 Shaver to review. Overall, I was not too disappointed. I used to shave with an electronic shaver until I started using a straight razor. Yet, I figured this would be a good item for some quick shaving (as a straight razor takes some time).
Unboxing the Philips Norelco 3100, I have to say that it was pretty well packaged. The shaver had to be charged before the first use which delayed the process a bit. Once I started shaving, I noticed that it was a very smooth shave. You definitely will not cut your skin (which is a very nice plus) as it is a gentle shaver. Yet, it may take a few passes to ensure that you get every single last hair. The pop-up trimmer on the back is nice for lining up your sideburns.
Overall, I would give the shaver an 8/10. It is a good product for someone looking for a quick and tidy shave.
