Bottom line: This razor is an outstanding buy. It gives me a very close shave, and I've shaved about 15 times (so far) on my initial charge. I have a medium coarse beard, which is certainly a factor, and I don't use pre-shave oils or gels (but I could). I would definitely recommend giving it a try. See pros and cons section.
The details: My (very!!) old Norelco triple header finally stopped working, so I started the dreaded hunt for a replacement. The noise level of foil razors ruled them out for me, and my triple header experience led me to research current Norelco rotaries. First I researched the high end razors, but their cost and complexity were barriers to an impulse buy. I read several dozen reviews of those razors, and one triggered my looking into the rest of the Norelco line. The reviews for this product were outstanding, and the price and simplicity made buying it easy.
Pros: great value pricing, gives a close shave with minimal noise, good shape - easy to grip, light weight, easy to clean after a shave, can shave while plugged in (rare for a rotary!)
Cons: some rinse water passes thru (as noted in manual), no stand for drying (would be a nice accessory), no travel case (i use my old triple header case)

I have used a number of different rotary head shavers (mostly Norelco/Philips) over the years, and this one is the best performing of them all. It gives a smooth shave and is very easy to clean.

I hadn't used an electric razor for at least a decade and I'm impressed with the closeness of shave and ease of cleaning. The flip open top really makes it simple and fast to keep clean. The shave is close enough for most uses, though I have more stubble at the end of the day than with a traditional razor. The value is quite high though, you can find these cheap online.
Pros: easy to clean, inexpensive
Cons: hard to do sideburns, not as close a shave as a regular razor

Basic shaver that gets the job done

I received this product as a sample and was asked to review it. Overall the product`s functionality is pretty basic. It can shave your face and trim your hair and beard lines. It performs well and holds a charge long enough so that you can shave up to about 4 times. I am a bald man so I plan to not just use it on my face but on my head as well and it will cut every hair you put it over. It`s not as close of a shave compared to a razor, but it gets it close enough that I look freshly shaved after using it. However I fell that after a day, I need to shave again.
