This is, by far, not my first Norelco shaver. However, for the price, this is a very good value. The "need to charge battery" feature is appreciated, as my last shaver just stopped when the battery was drained (it was a less expensive model). Also, the indicator that new blades are needed is another good feature. I noticed a better shave from the first time I used it -- it usually takes at least a few days to acclimate to a new shaver. As a longtime shaver, I'm very pleased with this model.
Pros: battery charge indicator, rinse-off daily cleaning, fast blade rotation
Cons: a little heavy

The product gives a good shave and is easy to use. But the charger light does not function well. There is no pouch to carry the shaver and the cord, nor is there is a brush to clean.

I've been using Norelco shavers ever since I began to shave--some 70 years ago. This model offers everything I need in an electric shaver: fast and clean shave, long-lasting lithium battery, pop-up trimmer, economical in price. Incidentally, Norelco recommends replacing blades annually: however, it's not much more expensive to buy a new razor, which I do.

Being that I have a history of personal facial hair grooming, I was recently given the opportunity to try out a free sample of the Philips Norelco Comfort Cut Shaver 3100. The first thing I liked about this shaver is that it was able to be plugged in and used immediately without needing to allow it to charge for 12 or more hours; it’s great to be able to plug it in and get a shave at any time regardless of the charge level - an annoying issue with previous shavers I`ve had.
After using this for over 10 days in a row, I’m impressed by the overall quality of its parts and construction. The three rotating heads allow it to get the beard from more angles at once than shavers with the blades set in straight rows, and improvements that have been made in the blade technology make this much better than similar and more expensive models I’ve used in the past.
The unit is very easy to wash and dry after each use, and looks like it should last for years with proper upkeep. Overall, it’s a solid shaver that does what it needs to.

As a African American male this has proven to be one great unit. Not once have I experience hair bumps as I have in the past when using a shaver of this type. Not only that but the shave is smooth & close. I used to use a trimmer but this unit has proven it's weight in gold. The edger on it is outstanding. I recommend this unit to everyone. Give it a try. You won't regret.
Pros: close shave, doesn't pull your facial hair, last 2 weeks or more on a single charge

This is my third Norelco razor in the last 45 years, so I often recommend them to others. They produce a nice close shave without skin irritations. The razor is easy to hold and to clean.
Pros: very affordable
