This shaver fits well in my hand and glides smoothly over my face. It cuts close to my skin and does not pinch or pull. Very easy to use and lasts for weeks on a single charge. Only minor problem is the pop up trimmer is not at a good angle which makes it cumbersome.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Shouldn't have purchased this product. It looked cheap when I bought it and got about 1 1/2 years on this when it stopped giving me good service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've always preferred the Norelco razor and have tried others. None, including straight and safety razors can shave as closely as the Phillips Norelco. The 3100 isn't the fanciest one but does as good a job as the others.

I have for many years only use Norelco electric shavers. This time when I purchased this new unit, instead of purchasing new heads.
However, Norelco cheaped out by not including a small brush and a carry bag. I would have paid another dollar, but it should have been in the box. Overall this shaver is excellent.
Hope the Norelco people take this suggestion for you loyal consumers. I have never used anything but Norelco.

Have had had many rotary shavers. Foil shavers give a closer shave, but screens and cutters need to be replaced more often.
Pros: easy to clean
Cons: doesn't shave as cliose as foil shavers
