This is my first video monitor. I bought this open box hoping to save a few bucks in the process. I am impressed so far, but don't really have much to compare it to. The color is really bad on it...it's not even close to the actual color of things, so using the picture and video features aren't really an option cause you will get a poor picture. But I got this monitor for the night vision. It seems to work pretty well. The sound is quiet and there is a lot of white noise constantly. the zoom feature is awful...it is just completely blurry. Overall it is a huge step up from just our sound monitor, but I am a little curious as to how other brands compare to it or maybe I just received a monitor that they didn't inspect like other companies do before they resell them.
The baby monitor bought was with 2 cameras. During the daylight, both cameras had very good clarity and worked remarkably well. At night and in a dark room, I had problems with seeing the image. I used the live chat to communicate with the company which worked well. The service rep was attentive in trying to resolve this issue. When it was determined that nothing could be done over the computer, she emailed me a return shipping label. A few of weeks later, I received the unit back and it has been working well. Levana does stand behind their products.
This is our first monitor, so don't have much else to compare it to, but all of the other reviews I read before buying hold true. Great product with so many neat and user-friendly features. Couldn't be more pleased.
The Keera model is a great monitor and we are very pleased with it. We wanted a monitor with video capabilities and we like many of its features - night vision, ability to take pictures/videos, and the ability to turn on from sleep mode with loud sounds/motions. The video clarity is pretty good - more so in light than with night vision. Two things we didn't like were that it didn't come with an instruction manual and we would have liked a full touch screen.
My wife and I purchased this monitor for our new born son and had it setup waiting for him when we brought him home. The video and color a quality are AMAZING!!! We love the pan and tilt features. We would have given this unit 5 stars if it wasn't for 2 things:
1. Sometimes in the night vision mode all we see is black. The audio works, but the video won't pick anything up. 2. The battery life isn't as long as I would like. Granted, we have a new born who sleeps a lot so it is turned on most of the day. But I would have like to only need to plug it in at night, not mid-afternoon as well. Ymmv
For the money we are extremely pleased with the quality of both the camera and the monitor. If you buy it you definitely will not be disappointed.
This was not the cheapest video monitor, but it had good reviews and we actually ended up getting a good deal on it. It works very well. We added two extra cameras and it handles them all well. And we have had it a couple of months with no issues!
