This monitor has more than enough capability to please most folks. I find there is more flexibility to it than I am in need of...as I prefer not to change settings all the time. I have found a couple that work well for me and I am sure there are others that will deeply appreciate the settings offered. All and all the visuals are very clear and I am pleased with this new monitor.

Recently purchased the HP 2711 27" LED monitor as a replacement to a 5yr old 24" monitor. This monitor has excellent graphics, is very lightweight, and easy to set up and fine tune. It also has many different inputs which makes it very flexible; HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA. A few minor negatives include a somewhat reflective high gloss screen, and no monitor height and rotation adjustments. The positives far outweight the minor negatives and I highly recommend this monitor.

Picture is excellent. Does what it's expected of an HP brand.
BUT: Navigating through buttons is a little annoying. Too many functions are jammed into too few buttons. This can and should be improved.
Viewing angle: Reasonable, if looking from the sides. However, the swivel action doesn't give a desirable up/down range. It may not be an issue for many people, but when watching videos, you have to look straight, which is not always convenient.

It makes my 7-year-old 23" monitor look small, and the picture is INCREDIBLE. The difference between looking at a photograph on my old monitor and looking at a photograph on this monitor is amazing. I've been working on this monitor for 2 weeks now and I still can't believe how good this monitor is. I wish I would have upgraded to this a long time ago!
