The monitor quality is great, but the resolution is only 1920x1080. I had hoped for a higher resolution so that I would have considerably more real estate on my monitor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the 27" predecessor, the 2710, along with a core 2 duo HP Pavilion Slimline for my wife last Christmas. This is an incredible combo which everyone is highly impressed by.
My daughter fell in love with the 27" monitor and specifically asked for one this past Christmas. The new 2711 LED model replaced the old 2710 which uses flourescent backlighting.
The new 2711 is about an inch thick and super cool! Needless to say it was fought over.

Almost Too Big

When the rest of the world catches up with true HD, this will be the monitor to own. The only downside is that the on/off and other switches are a bit diminuitive for those of us with big hands. Otherwise, I'd rate this as 5 stars across the board.

Simply put this is the best monitor I've ever had. I highly recommend this monitor. There's really nothing else much to say. It's a monitor and does its job exactly as it states.

I love the large screen! There is so much more room to work with and it is so much easier to manage multiple windows that it has changed the way I do things. I wish I had upgraded much earlier!
