This monitor is breathtaking to say the least. It replaces a 22 inch Samsung LED monitor. I wanted to have more screen real estate to reduce the need for 2 monitors. This unit fits the bill for me. At the recommended screen resulution of 1920 x 1080, I found the colors to be vibrant and text to be crisp and bold. Using this monitor in a brightly lit room may cause reflection problems, so keep that in mind. I use mine in a darker room with a small lamp at the side of the monitor. Menu controls are many and varied so any user should be able to find a suitable screen setting. The monitor comes out of the box with brightness and contrast set quite high so you will need to adjust those settings from the get go. Also, no on board speakers. Whether you plan to play games, do productive work, or just surf the internet, this monitor will do it all for you and I think you will be very happy that you purchased this excellent monitor.

Love it! I cannot believe how much a big screen helps. I wanted it for book publishing, but I find I can read everything so much better - email, Word, etc. I don't think I'd ever go back to a little screen again. Don't even consider thinking about a smaller screen, unless you just don't have the space for a large one. It set up in just minutes.

This is my second purchase for a HP2711x monitor. I do a lot of work in the CAD/CAM environment and you cannot help but love the size and beauty of these. I have two side by side and while they do take up most of my desk, I love these monitors. This is a smart choice if you want to go bigger and brighter. I recommend these to everyone.
