The keyboard, though small, is contoured so that your fingers fit the keys perfectly.

I'm very pleased with this computer. I did upgrade the memory to 2GB, after that it responds quickly and does all I need it to do.
The only con is that I think the touchpad is a little to sensitive. I have not been able to find a way to reduce the sensitivity yet.

Easy start up, but as I've been adding the updates computer gets slower and slower. Need to do some more tweeking to get this resolved. As I get more acquainted with this mini, I am very pleased. I use this mainly for email, shopping, some business and it travels with me. When I started having issues with the old mini, my husband was insistent to update and I was happy to do so. Have found that this is the computer I use the most in our home, even tho we have a desk top, it is just so handy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for business traveler

Pros:
- Hi-Res 1366x768 screen (if you have bad eyes, this might be too small)
- Extremely light weight ~ 2.9lbs
- Very stylish, and red (not important to practical users)
- For a mini, very nice keyboard layout

Cons:
- placement of mouse pad used to be in the center of the palm rest, but has been moved a little bit to the left. The net result is that you will be typing, and all of a sudden, the mouse flies across the screen and you lose your cursor. If this was moved back over to the middle of the palm rest, then this computer would get 5 stars.

Best gift ever

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. He is constantly on it and no longer hogging my laptop. He wanted a mini and for all the things he downloads it does not run any slower, so far he's had nothing but good things to say about it.

Portable but slow

The size and weight of it is great for taking it with you. However, it turned out to be way too slow on the internet and opening programs loaded on the hard drive. Working in Word or Excel was reminescent of computers of old. I could play an entire game of Solitaire waiting for programs and web pages to load. The computer was returned within a week of receiving it without hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just right for my purpose

I wanted a small, light computer with a keyboard that's large enough for a touch typist to use easily. I have a desktop computer on which I keep my main files, so I didn't need much storage, and I do a lot of writing, so a tablet without an actual keyboard is frustrating for me to use.
This netbook is compact enough to carry with me easily and it has all the functionality I need (and more). It starts up quickly and the battery life is about six hours, which is more than adequate. The Windows 7 Starter works well enough for what I do, and I downloaded Open Office, so I don't miss having the Microsoft Office suite. The netbook has only two (minor) flaws for me. The first is that the fan and the hard drive are somewhat noisy. The sound level is just enough to be noticeable, especially in a quiet environment, and the clicking of the hard drive worries me a little, although it seems to work just fine. The netbook is also just a little heavier than I'd expected it to be. This is offset to some degree by the fact that the battery life is so good.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product. I'd buy it again!
