Great choice for home office

I was looking for a replacement printer to be located at the home office of my boss. He needed a networked multi-function device as he had before, with requirements that include economical laser quality monochrome printing, copying, colour scanning and occasional fax. I checked the reviews and my short list was a couple of Brother models. The MFC-7360N was particularly good value and met all the requirements. I considered another model with automatic duplex but the boss didn't particularly need duplex so the additional cost for the other model was not justified in this case.
Installation and setup were fine. I first attempted to load the software package + driver from a Windows 7 PC in the company office, as a test. I had some problems with an installation error that I was able to work around after a while. But when I did the same at the home office I had no problems at all so I think the original problem was due to the main office anti-virus package on the PC, which had not been turned off during installation.
Printing is fast and good quality, scanning is easy to perform. Not much more to say - it's exactly what's required for this environment, with fairly low volumes. Good that the drum and toner are models used in other Brother printers too, so nothing unusual there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A good product that delivers value for money. However integrating with 3rd party products is a trial.
Having to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Pro, Uninstall the Paper Port software, Reload the Brother software and drivers then re-install the Acrobat Pro to allow the scanner function to integrate was a really painful exercise.
The Brother product support team denied responsibility but the Adobe support were magnificent in assisting to resolve this issue.
An article on the troubleshooting site will be helpful for other users having a similar issue.

a really great mono printer

This is a great printer and copier. It is quick and economical to print. The copier function produces great copies in half the time of my inkjet. It is also easy to use and compared to other printers quiet when not printing. Highly recommended. I'm now looking for a Brother colour printer.

First Impressions

I bought this laser printer only recently but, so far, I'm very pleased with it.
The print quality is nice and sharp - and even in "toner save" mode, it is still quite good.
I haven't used the fax facility, but the copy and scan features work well, and the automatic document feeder makes bulk work simpler.
I like the fact that it goes into "deep sleep" mode after a while, so saving on electricity if you forget to switch off!
A minor criticism is that, when feeding paper into the manual slot (instead of the paper tray) you need to be very careful to keep the paper straight, otherwise the printing is a bit skewed. I would avoid using the manual slot for important documents.
This is a mono printer, but that suits my purposes. I wish it had a second paper tray so that I could use headed paper in one, and plain paper in the other, but I got what I paid for and I think this printer is good value.
