Fairly good. But brand new toner ran out just after 350 pages.

Machine is overall fairly good.
But brand new toner which came with the brand new machine ran out just after 350 pages. Didn't print graphic or solid black images. Simply just text. Unbelievable.

Installation - You cannot install drivers only for stand alone or for one computer using USB. Can install drivers only for network computers using ethernet cable.
You have to install the whole package - of course, with the choice of paperport software (but still takes a lot of hard drive space compared to installing drivers only.)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One unit, providing scanning, printing and fax, with software that works with all the versions of Windows I have.
It would be even more versatile if it were an "AirPrint" printer supported from iPad.
It replaces an earlier MFC5440, which I couldn't get to scan with Windows 7, but which had impressed me enough to make another Brother purchase desirable. It put me off ink-jets, because of the ink consumption when idle, so the choice was easy.
The usability of the scanner is improved, and everything runs more quickly than on the old machine.
Installation was fairly easy, though I still haven't worked out how to make "PaperPort image" appear on the list of W7 printers, so have to switch to an XP machine to create PDFs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does the job

I needed a decent quality mono laserprint mainly for printing but occasionally for faxes too - this machine fits the bill perfectly - and no probs setting up etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Faster than my old 8840DN

My old printer stopped working with Windows 7 (product itself was still working well after 7 years service with no faults) so I needed a replacement. The 7360 was recommended to me by my supplier. I was surprised by the low cost (the old printer was considerably more expensive) but went with it. The speed of printing is good, the scan speed was a dramatic improvement over the 8840, combined with a compact foot print and reasonable price consumables. I will continue to reccomend Brother printers and MFC's to my customers

Excellent small and quiet machine

Bought this to replace a long standing Brother multifunction printer. Am delighted with its compact size, ease of use (even the network worked smoothly!!) and importantly very quiet which is essential in a home office environment. A lot of machine for not a lot of money.
I would recommend this to a friend!
