This steam front load precision washer is the best!

I had a top load whirlpool washer for 20 years, it finally died. But I am not sorry , because my new steam front load is the best washer I have ever had. I have a whirlpool dryer, which is still going strong. yes! its 15 years old still going strong. I don't really have to use it all the time now. with the new steam washer, which almost dry my clothes. But the towels, I have to put in the dryer. I am saving up for the new dryer; the match for my washer. I love it. it is worth all the money in the world.

We just bought our second set!

I have absolutely loved my duet set over the years and was a little disappointed when we included it in the sale of our house. But that gave us an excuse to buy the latest model. It is redesigned a little bit, for instance there is nowhere to add oxiclean in the dispenser, I put it directly in the drum now. But the load and go detergent option is fabulous! They also changed the method for reminding you to clean the washer, but overall I have been happy with the new design.

Great machine except.......

We bought both the washer and dryer and were impressed with the features and functions. We really liked the automatic soap dispenser and the air fresh. What we don't like is the washer doesn't spin anywhere near a heavy load. For example, we can wash a nice load of towels but we have to split them in half and let each half spin again to get all the water out. I did check the manual and it does say loads have to be balanced. As long as the load is light, the washer spins fine. But try and throw 6 big towels in and they will wash fine but won't spin all the water out. The 10 year old washer I got rid of easily spun heavy loads. This is our major disappointment with this washer. I would rate this as 5 stars if not for this one issue which is a big one to us.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Words cannot express my delight in owning this Whirlpool washer! I have owned many others in just a few years and have found that the front loaders are really difficult to keep sanitary! This Whirlpool washer has a door that will stay ajar to let the air in and the rubber gasket will dry without getting slimy. I also love the laundry detergent drawer. You can put a larger amount of laundry detergent in it and it will dispense it automatically. Every time I show anyone our new home, I bring them in the laundry room and tell them that the Whirlpool washer is my favorite item in our home! It is the honest truth!

All of the washing features are amazing. The fact that I don't have to fill it with soap everytime I do a load is awesome. Makes throwing a load of laundry in, quick and easy.

I have had my new Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer for two months and I love both appliances. The washer has a variety of useful washer settings and is easy to use and energy efficient!
