Sorry I'm not as happy as a printer should of made me. I'm not able to set many options right on the printer itself. Tray selections, print quality,
order of printing.....must be done only through computer. The ink goes fast! It does have a nice high redolution setting if desired. Great for cropping photos. Impossible to remove program for this printer once loaded.

An excellent choice

The Epson WorkForce 840 is very reliable and is excellent in that it warns the user in addvance of low ink condition in any of the four individually cyhangable ink cartrages.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've now had my Epson printer for a few months and can say I'm very pleased with the product. I use it for home and college use so mostly text pages. Ink usage seems to good, really like the extra capacity option. Setup and network use was flawless and have even switched networks and had everything in line within 2 minutes. Very user friendly and comprehendable. The only complaint was if it prints multiple pages really fast, it will tend to grab multiple.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Finally, a printer that delivers!

Epson Workforce 840 review: I noticed that many of the reviews were sent shortly after purchasing the machine, which doesn't really allow for a fair assessment of the product. That's why I waited approx. 6 months, in order to test various features, as well as ink consumption. I am very pleased with it's performance. It starts printing quickly, and prints fast, as advertised. The print quality is excellent (not laser quality, but great for an ink jet). The touch panel is very user friendly, and the two large paper trays are awesome. The wireless connectivity is very convenient (currently have three computers connected). Lastly, the ink consumption is great. My previous printer used ink at an alarming rate, but I just recently replaced my black cartridge for the first time in the 840. (I do mostly text printing). Conclusion: I have owned printers from three other big name companies in the past, but that's in the past. I have finally found one that I can rely on and highly recommend.

Love the 2 sided printing, scanning and faxing. It saves so much time than flipping the page. I love the photo features with the SD card slot so I could print photos right from my printer. My new printer is great for business, home and school projects. This printer is great for our home-based business, especially with the two paper trays. One for the regular white, and the other is for business forms. Saves time by allowing us to use two different papers.
