I owned a Work Force 610. It was diligent for 2 years. I used after market inks & screwed up my baby. Loving the products from Epson, I searched for a replacement and found this Epson Workforce 840 & installed it in a hour. The wireless set up was a snap. My family & I can scan and print from laptops from anywhere. Great screen graphics, 2 trays for paper, & auto answer for fax.

It does what it says on the tin. A workforce that handles everything you htrow at it.
Fast , clean, compact and great color. Just wish the ink cartridges were bigger, as they run out after 700 pages the 127 Extra High Capacity.
All in ALL 5 out of 5

I have had many brands of printers in the past. I tried this brand becasue I like the price it was at. for what it has to offer at the price I had paid for it. I can't ask for a better printer. I like the easy use of being able to print on both sides without having to flip the paper over. it is all done automatically with this printer. It has great printing output. The colors are very bold. I have not printed out pictures on it yet so I do not know how much ink it takes. I know I do alot of printing in black and the ink lasts me much longer than other brand printers have.
I also like the fact I can put in a full ream of paper and not have to worry about running out of paper in the middle of a big print job. I can print up to an average of 50 or more pages a week as I am a college student.

I bought this printer to replace my Epson Stylus RX620. The Rx620 is still working fine, but I'm starting a business and need a sheet fed scanner and 2 sided printing.
This printer is awesome. It is fast and quite. The print quality is excellent. It does almost everything I want it to do.
There is a little room for improvement. I wish this printer had a rear sheet feeder in addition to the sheet trays. The reason for this suggestion is that the WorkForce 840 had trouble feeding thick paper. The sheet feeder on my RX620 had no problem with the same thick paper.
Overall this is a fast quiet and versitle printer and scanner that is well worth the money.

Gets the job done. A little noisy. A little dramatic when printing. Paper trays are flimsy.

This is my second epson printer. This one is a all in one model and I now know why it is called a workhorse. The tech support was very very very patient with me. Not being savy in hookups, they guided me through the installation. Worked as they said it would. So far epson is the way to go
