Bought this all in one about a month ago. Very easy to set up. Quality is good, very quiet. Haven't tried any mega page faxes or copy jobs yet but what I have tried is good. With the fax I did have to go in and change the number of phone rings set up from the default before it would work. So now I'm happy. This is my first Epson and so far I'm very happy with it. It also seems more sturdy and durable than some of the others I encountered.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than the rest !

I bought this printer for speed purposes and i found it fast when it prints in the " fast economy" setting but if you print in a normal setting, it prints slower! the two sided printing isn't organized to print in the same direction when you flip the page over , you have to turn it around! Printing quality is really good! the scanner is fast too ! the touch screen is amazing and makes life much easier! i wish it was designed slimmer and lighter because it takes alot of space and its medium heavy ! Only complains is the speed

Epson WF 840+Mac Lion OSX req perseverance

I really like the Epson WorkForce840 but it was a bit challenging getting it to work with my Macs running Lion OSX. If you tried to do it via apple update you may get an error message saying they cannot find drivers for your device.
The trick is as follows:
- Download the latest SW from epson
- Install it on the Mac with the printer connected via the USB cable.(this basically installs the drivers on your PC).
- Verify the PC can print then disconnect the printer
- Next go into System Preferences-> Printer & Scan setup and DELETE the printer from the list
- Connect the Epson 840 to your network
- Go back into System Preferences-> Printer & Scan setup and click + to add the printer (it should pop up). Then you are good to go.
- Download the latest SW from epson
- Install it on the Mac with the printer connected via the USB cable.(this basically installs the drivers on your PC).
- Verify the PC can print then disconnect the printer
- Next go into System Preferences-> Printer & Scan setup and DELETE the printer from the list
- Connect the Epson 840 to your network
- Go back into System Preferences-> Printer & Scan setup and click + to add the printer (it should pop up). Then you are good to go.
Once installed all the features work great and are integrated pretty well into Mac apps
I would recommend this to a friend!

when you do not use for awhile, you have to keep unplugging and starting over to reboot.

I love my Epson WorkForce 840! I highly reccomend it! Epson has a great support team as well! Their products rate #1 in my book! The print quality of this machine is incredible! We made a copy of $1 bill and it looked 100% real! Great products and Great customer service support!

I like the Workforce 840. Was rather easy to setup - first unit and then wireless. Suggest you use direct IP address when setting up the wireless unit. Will be more reliable. Overall... good grades.

This is my first Epson printer. What I like about this printer are the two paper trays. It holds a lot of printing paper. I really like the fact the printer uses very little ink. The draft mode does not work well at all for printing but the next mode up works great. It's not the fastest printer but gets the job done in a reasonable time. I do a lot of scanning and with the Auto document feeder the scanner is quick and easy. I've only had the printer for a month now but so far I'm very satisfied.
I would recommend this to a friend!
