A different kind of All-in-One

Yes it scans, faxes, prints, and copies. However, that is not the All-in-One it should only be known for. I can print beautiful photos, two-sided documents, print different educational products for my children, and print business cards and other work related documents for my husband.
So it handles school, work, and play with one document.
By the time I hit print on my computer and move on to another task, documents that are only a few pages are finished. Most of the time it hits me that I did print something, why has it not started? Guess what, it was done already! I love it.
I had the Artisan which was nice for the moment due to the fact it was new and looked nice. But, the Workforce-840 has beaten it by a long shot. I still have both, but the Artisan had far to many problems, especially with the Wi-Fi function. That was with two different Artisans. On top of that, the dual side printing option need an accessory to use it. Thus far, the Workforce 840 has exceeded expectations!
I do recommend purchasing the higher quality ink however. At least you should if you find yourself printing colored documents or pictures a lot. I ran my ink out from printing play money with my kids faces on them, in ONE DAY! Standard size paper, 6 fake bills (three on each side), green, with tiny pic of kids where the president should be. 8 pages and my ink reminder popped up. This was the first project I used it for :(. My new ink has lasted longer and I am happy I paid more money for it.

Best yet Economical

I purchased this workHorse for my home office use. It's the fastest one I have ever purchased at the lowest price I have ever paid ! Setup is a breeze. Two trays for papers is indded a great feature along with card reader, USB port and wi-fi. Touchscreen menu is very user friendly. In short, if you are looking for a great printer for home or a small office, you can't go wrong with this one at this price.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just set-up my new Epson workforce 840 Printer

Excellent printer very fast and print looks great only problem was set up you need to down load up dated drivers. make sure you go to epson.com/support because their are a lot of web sits that look like an Epson web site but they only wont you to down load their own softwear to up date your drivers for a price.

All in one and easy

I am not a techie person, but was able to follow the directions for my PC/desktop. I ran into a little problem with my wireless installation, but called the help support and they got me through the first step and we hung up. From there on it was smooth sailing. I have had an Epson before a workforce in fact, but needed to upgrade. I am very pleased with this printer, scanner, faxer, photos and more technology. I was assisted online when my WF400 was gone, so buying was easy too. Got a discount from being a previous Epson user.

We have been using all of the functions available with this product for about one week connected to an iMac desktop and a MacBook Pro laptop on a wireless network. Everything works as expected and is much better than the Photosmart 2610 that it replaced. Initially, had trouble linking it to the laptop but got help from Epson that solved the problem. The price was outstanding!
