My first Epson All-in-One

I was looking for a printer that would do it all at an affordable price. The WorkForce 840 fit the bill. From document scanning to high print quality and quick output, the 840 has it all. What really impressed me, however, was the setup of the printer not only the quick installation instructions which were very well documented but especially the wireless set up which was very well thought out by Epson. I simply ran their installation disc on my PCs' and Macs' and Voila we were up and running without a hitch. Good job Epson!

My choice of printers was not spur of the moment! I researched a lot of brands on the internet. My requirements were: 1) all-in-one 2) high resolution and 3) easy to use. I was specifically looking for a printer that would do photo transfers to fabric. This printer met all my requirements.
I have had the printer a little over a week now and I am having a wonderful time trying out all the features. So far, I am not disappointed. The scanning feature is great, my grandson's drawings scan perfectly and when printing a copy, they come out just like the original. The viewing screen is clear and bright and large enough for older eyes, like mine. Have not tried faxing as yet, but I know the function works, as a tech at Epson helped me with it.
Now for the one little negative! When installing the 840 on my Windows 7 computer, the CD would get to the end and then say that installation had failed. No worry though, I called Epson and they were fantastic. My CD was not as up-to-date as my Windows 7 so installation could not be completed. The tech walked me through everything and never left me hanging. My thanks to Epson techs and thank you for a great all-in-one. Still need to do the photo transfer but I'm betting it will work like a charm!

Just got it

well we,v only had it for a short time but so far its wonderfull, very easy to set up, easy to use,very fast,worth alot more than it costs, the price is awesome for such a nice machine. we have been through alot of all-in-ones and this is the best one. Time will tell however, we use our machines alot so we will see in a few months just how its holding up.

We have used the WorkForce 840 for a few months, and have found it to be everything we expected, and more. The wireless printing has been great from our desktop, as well as our laptops. The color capabilities are fabulous. I highly recommend this all-in-one.

My dad suprised me with this one day. No special reason just showed up at my door with it. I have used it for printing, scanning, copying and making pictures. Let me tell you, this baby makes some good pictures. After some research on the internet I found that a lot of people like the Ilson smooth pearl picture paper. I bought some 4x6 size paper and made me some pictures of recent ones I had taken. Wow, they turned out beautiful. Im so glad that my dad got me this printer. He could'ny have made a better choice. I thank him everytime I see him, I think he may be getting tired of it. As far as copying it makes great copys and boy does it do it fast. Scanning is the same way, they come across with good quality and in a fast way. Printing, I print a lot of coupons and if the quality is not good the cashier cant scan the bar code. I havent had a problem yet with any of the coupons I print from this machine. I recommend this printer to anyone looking for an all-in-one or even just a printer, you never know when you might want to use one of the other features.

it's a little loud and slow but overall it's good and does what i need it to. I don't recommend it for mass printing jobs but for the day to day printing i do it's perfect

very good overall printer. One improvement I would suggest is some way to print envelopes without having to remove all the paper from the paper tray and adjusting it to fit an envelope.
