WorkForce 840 Installation

The installation requirements, software mostly, are quite involved and time consuming but if followed to the letter the printer comes up running very smoothly and works great. We haven't used the printer to its full capability but so far very quiet, efficient and prints onto heavy 5X7 card stock with no issues. We had an Epson Artisan 800 and feel like this is a very serious upgrade - especially where noise and card stock are involved. The Artisan quite often would print slightly askew but this new printer seems to grab the paper more correctly. The potential for two side printing is great and having one bin with standard paper allowing the other bin to be used for special cards or paper is also a plus. Having the various media car slots on the side in the middle of the printer has made popping in and out SD cards and jump drives far more convenient. Good call on the change.

Very Good Printer

I'vd been useing epson printers for a long time. We have a small print shop business were we do alot of small stuff. This printer is perfect for this... It was easy to install on our network. Haven't had a chance to try all the features yet. So far the copy and reg. printing is very good. I like the large ink you can get with this and the two paper trays. We do alot of greeting cards and the to sided feature works great.

This is the best printer I have ever owned. It was easy to set up and prints very fast. I love the two trays where I can put paper in one and evelopes in the other and change back and forth when I am doing mailings. At first I had to change the trays in the computer but as time went on either in the computer or the printer it automaticly changes trays when I call for an envelope on Microsoft Word. I would highly reccomend it.

Easy to setup & good printer

I just had the printer so I don't know what will come out of this but so far the set up is quick and simple and the printer is loaded with features and the first few printing has been very good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just got all my computers hooked up and it was very easy to install on 4 of the 5 we have. One of them I had to call the help center to get it going. They were helpful and took care of the problem through 2 calls. I would recommend this printer to others. So far it seems to have great quality prints. Have not printed any photos yet but that will be the real test.

Download drivers from the internet with WIN 7!

Very pleased with the performance of this all in 1. The best thing I can say for anyone is if you are using WIN 7 download your drivers from the EPSON website do not use the CD. After two hours of trying to install I gave up and then it was done in 5 minutes (using Epson's website).
This is a great machine, more options then I can think of that I will probably ever use but the price was GREAT and all. Happy printing to you! Using this for my home and office all about to go paperless thanks to the duplex scanning and printing!
