Epson workforce 840

One day so far so good. I can only comment on the software installation. Mac OS 10.6, Windows XP and Linux installed the first time with no issues. Windows 7 install failed from the disk provided software, but installed correctly from the latest software that was downloaded from the Epson website. That's it for now. Will update later when I get some time actually using the printer.

This is a great all in one, I still have not used all the features only because I ran out of one of the cartridges and another on low, the printer wont allow me to print just in black and white. I looked up FAQ and my response is that printer wont work with out ink and that no matter printing black and white, the printer uses all ink cartridges. The cartridges are cheap but sucks when it comes to late night printing for school homework, had to revert to back up printer. Maybe there is a solution but when I needed my new printer most I was unable to use it.

Easy Set Up

Just finished setting it up and I have to say it went very smooth. The few things I have printed look great and printed very fast. Wireless setup was a breeze. I look forward to being able to print without being tethered.

I bought this printer because of the value. I have been using HP for years. I wanted a printer which offered color, duplication, fast speed, wireless, and high copy ratio. I run a small law firm. I need to be able to print mostly to one machine and then do so quickly. I also wanted two trays for printing. This offered it all at the same price as HP for only one tray. I love it so far. The color is excellent. The quick print works well. It has been intuitive and I appreciate the features of the double sided copier having the same as the big machine for options. I would recommend this, but be sure to note that the wireless setup did not work. I had to use the usb to do my setup of the other systems.

I was given 3 different printer,copier, fax, scanner and wireless options by my IT department for me to purchase. I have to say that I am impressed with the fast capabilty, versatility and options of the 840 Workforce system. I am extremely happy with this product and would recommend it to be purchased.

Had an Epson 600 series for a almost year before a power serg killed it. I was happy with that one although it was a bit loud when printing but was very user friendly. Would have gotten the same one had they still made them so Opted for the 840 with alot more features for less than what we paid for the 1st one. I have noticed it is much more quite than my old one. Just a warning you may not be able to use the disc it comes with because there is a new up date better off going right to web site and down loading latest version. They said an ipad can be hooked up to it going to try that in the morning.

This all-in-one machine is perfect. I only printed out two copies and the way it performed the tasks was very thorough. Great machine!!!
