After doing quite a bit of research and reading numerous reviews, I decided to purchase this 840 and have not been disappointed.
I received it last week and so far it has performed well. The ink seems to be doing OK, but I haven't printed all that much yet, so I'll have to reserve judgment a little on that.
I like the form factor, and although the top is a bit of a fingerprint magnet, as others have said, I still like it's looks. The two trays are a REAL plus (I keep bond/specialty in one and plain in the other) and the tilt out screen is the best I've seen.
Physical setup was effortless and while I did have a blip on setting up the software on my second machine (1st was an XP, second Windows 7), I just downloaded the updated drivers and did the install manually thru the tilt out screen. It was almost as easy as the auto setup, but every time I tried the cable with the Win7 machine, the install hung. I didn't have to call support, as I just uninstalled and then installed manually. Once the first installation error happened, I didn't realize you have to uninstall completely to try the reinstall (their web support told me that), but even that didn't work in auto mode so that's why I went manually. Other than that - and it was fairly minor (just took an extra half hour), I had no issues with the overall installation at all.
I would highly recommend this printer - it's new on the technology curve, works well and has tons of features I haven't even touch yet. I've easily customized my duplex, tray selection and default resolutions and like it's low power consumption both while printing and in sleep mode.

Overall is a very nice printer. User friendly! The menu is very easy to use. The drivers were easy to install, and the wifi is also easy to install. When prints it make a loud noise, but that is common for most of the printers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

box to printing in 15 minutes!! I have a mac and everything went very smooth. We are hoping the printing will be as easy as the setup. The wireless setup was a breeze and we are looking forward to using this printer.

Performed as expected

This was a trouble free installation even though it was the first time I had set up a wireless printer on the network. So far, the device has performed as expected.
I have had problems with another famous brand and their tech support, though usually helpful, was clueless so I decided to try Epson after reading what others had to say.
I did not need any tech support with this Epson WorkForce 840 device. I really needed the multi-page scanning ability.

I have gone through four printers before getting this one. Set up was easy even with window 7 64 bit had no problem installing with the set up disk. Love all the function on this printer. Print quality is good prints fast all around great product. Love the 2 paper trays. Great job epson on a great profuct. Will buy again.

Always Dependable - Always Hard Working

I have now owned three Epson printers since I first started on the internet and returned to my first love of writing many years ago. Epson not only has the knack to put out absolutely stellar products, they also manage to keep these great printers at VERY affordable prices. Other printers may come close in price, but everyone is miles away from Epson when it comes to quality. When the time comes, I'll buy another Epson. I won't even consider any other brand.
