I needed a new refrigerator and wanted a French door style one as my old side-by-side one died. After looking at several makes this one stood out and I really liked the new Slate color. Since getting it I was able to empty and shut down my freezer in the basement and pretty soon the "beer" fridge in the basement will be shut down. I can't believe how much can be put in this! The numerous ways to adjust shelving makes putting items away simple. I have two grand kids that love pushing buttons and the lock-out for the door dispenser keeps me from having to mop up water and collect ice cubes all over the kitchen floor. Finish doesn't show finger prints and stainless handles give it a clean look. The ice maker in the door makes ice quickly and doesn't take up much space at all. I was so impressed with this GE appliance that since I bought it I have also swapped out my stove and dishwasher with new slate colored ones. Microwave unit is next item to purchase.

Wonderful features, especially the open-door alarm, and locking controls feature~
Wish the drawers and shelves were of a little heavier/better quality plastic, they seem cheap in comparison to the rest of the appliance.
