Great Supply Of Crystal Clear Ice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a well used machine(also a Whirlpool) with which I had been pleased. Am very happy with the light in this machine. Shines brightly on the crystal clear and perfect ice. At Sunday meals, even my Grandkids can't run out of ice it produces so bountifully. I. Lovely new purchase!

Great Ice, Easy to Install, Design needs a little more pizza

This ice maker was much easier to install than our old one and is well made. It makes great quality ice very fast and is relatively quiet for an ice maker. The light inside is a great feature. My only concern is that the door looks cheap, like a dorm refrigerator. The inside is great, but the facade needs some upgrading, especially the handle. Overall, we are quite pleased.

Love the ice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this ice maker for a little over a week. It replaced a "lemon" that was still under warranty (and after a lot of hassle with Whirlpool). That "lemon" replaced another Whirlpool lemon that only lasted a few years. When it's working, I love this ice machine. But my past experience with Whirpool ice machines unfortunately makes me hesitant to trust that something won't go wrong with this one as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Ice Under Light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Former ice maker was 11 years old. The same model now has a light and the inner-door closes with shutting the outside door. The ice tastes great with the added filter system. Only concern is that it seems to be "wet" ice when removed from the bin. Is the light staying on after the door is closed?

This is our second whirlpool ice machine. We bought our first one in 2005. Liked it so much we bought a new one in 2014 to replace old one.
