WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

The unit RATTLES - ALL THE TIME! We've had two WP Service Techs out from two different companies. The first zip tied a part and said that should fix it, it didn't. We lived with it but then the noise level increased to the point that we could only run it at night. Then we decided that was just wrong so we called another company. The second tech said the "fan was hitting something and moved it over a little". It stopped rattling for 15 min., just enough time for him to get down the road. We purchased the unit 7/17/15, however we were building the house, which took much longer than anticipated. The unit actually was installed 4/12/16.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performance

Bought this unit 16 months ago. I have had it serviced twice w parts replacement under warranty. Now I have a discharge pumped failed and it is not under warranty. That's just poor reliability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am unable to review. I bought this machine in June and it worked for a couple of days, then stopped. Technician was called in, he could repair it but I did not want a new machine that needed a repair right away. I am still waiting for a resolution so that a new one can be sent to me. I cannot make a recommendation because I do not know and it would be unfair to the ice maker'. I selected this machine because of Whirlpool's + reputation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the built in water filter and wished you would provide the first one with the unit since no local hardware stores stock it. Couldn't use it for an additional week waiting on a water filter, I had to order on-line.
