Clear ice cubes and lots of it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not too noisy, have to get used to the ice falling from the hot plate/wire noise, but otherwise quiet. We have a lot of clear ice small to medium size ice cubes, perfect for our cold drinks. The only disappointment is that the appliance did not come with the water filter that can be used with it. It had to be ordered separately.

Microwave function dropped dead

Bought in 2010, but for a summer vacation home where it gets light use for only two months a year, so its actual age at death last Fall was about 14 months at most. We were going to call our excellent repairman but, according to the reviews, the problem is most likely the magnetron and a replacement will also fail in a short time, so we'll have to spring for purchase and installation of new micro-convection, which very definitely will NOT be a Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple and Easy

It doesn’t do tricks but it is consistent and works! It was not hard to set up and, although you hear the ice being dropped, it is not too loud. I am very pleased with my purchase!

Great new features

Works Great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ice maker makes lots of clean clear ice daily. We never run short on ice now. My last ice maker had a drain pump and was loud when pumping and also when the cubes were falling. So far, I've never heard a single sound from this ice maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a different brand with the Whirlpool and am very impressed so far. The only disappointment is that the seal on the door is white. The white seal really sticks out when placed in a black cabinet.
