It seems the new refrigerators don't make a lot of ice therefore that's why we purchase ice maker. We are big ice water drinkers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this ice maker for a new home we built. We had the same kind before in our previous home. Love the ice and small bite sized pieces. Our only complaint is the noise it makes, but we understand that's typical of ice machines like this. Also love that it has water filter that we haven't had to use yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this right before Christmas and am so glad I did, new unit is smaller more compact, self cleaning as long as filter is replaced and makes ice faster and more efficient than model made 10 years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had some issues with it not making the thickness of ice I was used to. The ice was too thin, and I contacted Whirlpool, and they sent a service man out within 24 hours who helped with my problem
