A little noisy

I bought this to replace an old Whirlpool icemaker that died. It makes great ice, and plenty of it. The opening is a little smaller than the old model, but I really like the light that comes on when I open the door. What I don't like is that it is noticeably noisier than the old one, both in the drain cycle and the refill cycle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had it installed for about 2 weeks, very nice machine. I love the light on the inside. Like the handy access to the water filter very nice.the machine doesn't come with a filter, we had to wait a couple of days to get a filter very high-priced filter.The manual says it comes with a filter!

Nice but has some problems

Bought this to replace a prior unit bought 9 years ago. At first startup, did not make much ice and it was very thin (+/- 1/8 inch). Tried various remedies as shown in the manual and online. No luck. Called for service and a nice tech arrived a couple of days later. He was not familiar with this specific model as it is new (?). He called a special service line and was walked through various tests. All came back normal. He increased the ice thickness setting to bigger. We now have almost a full bin of 1/8" ice. Nice tech guy is on vacation this week and I plan to call him next week for input (he left me his cell number)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Instructions and Help

I have a Whirlpool ice maker that is 1 year old. I am trying to clean it. I have wasted 2 bottles of overpriced Whirlpool cleaner and the cycle still has not run. Whirlpool chat would not help. The cycle will not start. The add cleaner light flashes until you unplug the machine and comes on again if you plug it in. Whirlpool will not help me. Do not buy an ice maker from Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
