Pungent Smell

I received this mat as a gift and opened it to let it flatten out last night. My husband got home from work, walked in the door and said, "What is that weird smell?" We figured out it was this mat. A few hours later I had to close the door to the room this mat was laying out in because the stench was so strong. I will be using this mat for the first time tonight and I hope that the smell won't overwhelm my workout. Other than the crazy smell, it seems like a nice quality mat. It is light weight and pretty. I just hope my nose can bear to keep it!
Pros: pretty
Cons: smelly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
