This is a really nice mat. I got it because I'm really into the tree of life symbol. It's super pretty plus the non-slip surface is really nice. My puppy even like its...she puts her face on it and her butt in the air...maybe her version of a downdog who knows.

I bought this mat a year ago and it is SO comfortable and the pattern is soothing. I love unrolling it and seeing the tree with its dancing leaves. I recently lost it in a move and I'm buying it again.

this yoga mat is pretty, but perhaps too thin for my tastes... I am a beginning yogi and find I am always reaching for a blanket for my knees.

The mat looks good but it doesn't hold up to even my beginner yoga practice. The grip is sized too large and doesn't provide any stabilization in downward dog. It's great for restorative poses and anything where you will not need your hands for support - but unfortunately that limits a lot of the great yoga poses. This is my very first personal mat and I have never had problems with grip with the studio mats I have used thus far. Unfortunately, I will not be buying yoga mats from Gaiam again - but their other products have been great for me (blocks and strap).

I enjoy this mat because of the color and peaceful print. It is non-slip and perfectly utilitarian. Also, it is lightweight and works on most surfaces. The cost was reasonable and I notice it is popular with other folks.

There isn't much to dislike about a yoga mat, but in addition to being functional, this one is eco-friendly and cheerful looking without being blindingly bright. And since tree pose is my favorite asana, this mat is pretty much perfect for me!
