Major Problems with KitchenAide Products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In one year, my ice maker has had the compressor rebuild TWICE, 2 service calls for Water constantly running. Cannot get the CLEAN cycle light to turn off-even the repair tech can't get it turned off. KitchenAid will not replace because it needs to be repair 4 Times before they will do anything. Well Im on number 4. Water will not stop running and interior warm. I have had company and looking for cold drinks and my ice maker does not make ice... Very Frustrating. At the same time my Kitchenware Fridge electrical board went. After 5 weeks of waiting - they advised thru email that the electrical board cannot be fixed and they advised me to buy a new fridge. Between the two I have $22,000 tied up in KitchenAide. I WIL NEVER PURCHASE ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. DON'T BUY THIS ICE MAKER.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this machine for a year and it works great . Be careful installing a new filter because if you accidentally put it in upside down , which is easy to do , you can't get it out !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Maytag ice maker had the nerve to fritz out after 30 years with only one service call. Hope this does as well. The ice is the same,and this one is way quiter. The fact that the filter is in the machine freed up a cabinet for other uses. So far I love it. Having all the ice you need makes these Texas summers tolerable.

It is easy to install but I hired an appliance installer since I have the pump drain system and didn't want to flood the place. Within 1 hour the machine was making ice. With kids, sports and constant need for ice water, this was a great purchase for us.
