Still trying to figure it out

I am still trying to figure it out. The dryer senses that clothes are dry before they actually are. I've had to use timed dry just to get my socks, bedding and towels all the way dry. It works great on everything else, and I'm sure it will work great for the heavy stuff when I figure it out.

The Whirlpool Duet

I previously owned the Whirlpoot Duet Sport model which worked wonders for years until the door started to leak and I need a new seal. After considering the cost to replace vs buying brand new, it made more sense to buy brand new. I again choose the Whirlpool Duet. I like the fact that it has a cold water setting and it washes faster even when doing whites compared to my older model. The drum seems to hold more laundry as well. I've read other reviews, but personally I haven't had any problems with Whirlpool Duet models and that's why I continued to stick with them.

Such a quiet and quick dryer. Some things finish in half the time as my old dryer took. Awesome capacity!

The new design leaves a lot to be desired. I have owned whirlpool washers for 15 years and this one is a disappointment. The size redesign won't fit on my current pedestal, so it had to sit on the floor where the little kids can reach it. It makes noise whenever you touch a button, very annoying. All the small items get stuck in the front where the water drains. I have a lot of children so I have to use several laundry bags in the washer, making more sorting work. I do not like this washer at all. It does seem to clean well.

We recently purchased a Whirlpool "Duet washing machine. I was reluctant, because I pride myself with being able to repair anything that breaks down. But with the cost of replacement parts totaling over half the cost of a new one, it was a no brainer to purchase new. Our old machine was 17 years old, and when new, was top of the line. Our new machine does a better job with conserving water and spin drying the clothes, (reducing dyer time) , than the old one ever did. we are both very satisfied with pur purchase.

The clothes come out much drier than my previous washer and dry in half the time. I use half as much laundry soap than my previous HE washer. I love it!
