door handle breaks at plastic attachment

Whirlpool made 1 basic blunder by using plastic for a highly stress door handle bracket or I would have rated this product much higher.I bought this Jan 2014. A small plastic part connecting lower door handle to the door broke twice. look at top of lower door handle; if it is still plastic don't buy the refrigerator. I had to wait three months for first replacement handle which broke again in a month.My wife and I are 60+ and don't abuse the refrigerator.The sad part is everything else about the fridge is fine.The failure appears to be a fatigue failure at the stress concentration in the holes of the plastic bracket that attaches the lower door handle to the top of the lower door. The photo upload feature did not work for me or I would have included a photo.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect configuration

I bought this for the large shelves for party trays, large pizzas. It looks great and holds a lot of food. I just had 10 guests in for 4 days and I was happy that I had this refridgerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Handle breaks immediately as well as relacement handles. Until they UPGRADE the handel, steer clear.

Quiet

The refrigerator works fine but the stainless steel exterior door is hard to keep clean. I use a sponge to wipe off the fingerprints but some of it still remains. Also, when it was delivered, there was a mark (looks like a watermark running from top to bottom 3" to 5" wide). A representative came to check it out and will try to remove the mark with the stainless steel cleaner (which was ordered about 3 weeks ago).

Good buy, priced for the market

This in stock refrigerator was absolutely the best one that I could find for the confined space that I needed to put one in. It matches my other kitchen appliances well and does what I need, keep my food cold and freezer frozen. This model comes with an optional ice maker which I chose to install and it installed easily, taking only a few minutes with basic tools required. I am well satisfied with my purchase.

We haven't had any problems with this fridge. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I wish there were more shelves in the freezer. It's deeper and has more room than my previous freezer, but items "get lost" in there!! I also gave it 4 stars because there is no light in the freezer.

Solid no frills refrigerator

Owned for 2 months. Works well andno complaints. Coating on the sides is different from front. Plastic covers the holes for moving the door to the opposite side, my son will probably pick them off. The size is sufficient for our over consuming family of 3.
