Noisy, sharp edges on cans which can cause cuts

I owned a Black and Decker spacemaker for at least 15 years before a part broke off. Naturally, I bought a new Black and Decker to replace it but what a disappointment. It is twice as loud; the edges on the can pose a potential injury due to the ragged edges. I wouldn't recommend this applicance to anyone and in fact, I would return mine if I could get the money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not satisfied with can opener.

This is the second time I am trying to tell you what is wrong with this product. Are you listening?????
Very noisy (my last Black and Decker under the counter can opener was much quieter).
Lids are extemely ragged and sharp and you have to be careful when removing them from magnet so as not to get cut.
Wish I had bought a hand held can opener instead!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After a kitchen remodel, I needed a black can opener. Arthritis prevents me from using a hand model and I wanted counter tops clear. You were the only ones with black and it works easily and quietly. I installed myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I AM STILL USING THE FIRST ONE THAT I BOUGHT IN THE 1990'S BUT IT IS WHITE . I SAW THIS IN BLACK AND NOW IT IS MY FAVORITE ONE.THANK YOU FOR COLOR CHOICES .

I bought this can opener at least 8 years ago and it works wonderfully. It will allow you to open a 7" can or taller as I have done it many times for my large family. The door opening may be a bit stiff when originally purchased but opens completely after several openings. I love this can opener for it's handsfree, space saving features. I noticed others say it will only open a 31/2" can. There is no way that a designer would design something to suit just a small group of people. That is not profitable.

Well folks I have had this for a little over a year now and it will not pierce the can no more...so i do not know what to do hope maybe can replace the cutter assembly...? but who knows @ this point.
