Had the same type and brand for 14 years, my mother gad one for about 10 years. I recently purchased another one. It a piece of junk. The plates keep popping off, causing uneven cooking. The plates don’t line up. I will not be buying any more of your products you gave list me as a customer.

Love it and want a new one… but cant find it.

This is the only waffle iron I like. I prefer not having Belgian Waffles and so many waffle irons are Belgian. I’ve had it for so many years and use it all the time. Recently (after a ton of usage) the coating has started to peel so I went to replace it and I can’t find it in stock anywhere. 😢 I don’t know what to do because I need another one! (In the picture, my kids made and poured the batter… so the shape doesnt look normal.)

I was gifted my waffle maker 3-1 and love it. So after 4 years of use the plates have lasted without the chipping some folks have experienced. I wonder if it is because I wipe it with oil before and after use. Just a thought. The down side is cleaning the small nooks under the heating element after a overflow while cooking. I’ve even warmed up cold waffles on top while new ones cooked.

I was given this waffle maker as a gift and it woeked great for about 2 or 3 months. We have never used as anything other than a waffle maker. It will only brown one side as it cooks and then once it is doen you have to flip it over to brown the other side. I like this waffle maker because of the small squares, we do not like Belgian waffle size we like them smaller.

Poor quality plates

I purchased the G48TD to replace my 30 year old G48TD waffle maker. They appeared to be almost identical. The plates on the new unit were not as heavy, were thinner and fit poorly. The waffles do not cook evenly. They are really dark in the center and really light around the edges. This is not the kind of quality that I've come to expect from Black & Decker. I'm very disappointed.

Should I buy again?

We have owned two of these waffle maker/grills over our 42 years of marriage and have been pleased. Except for the sticking onto the waffle plate after a few years of use. I guess it is time to replace this appliance, but I'm not sure the new one will work any better since the reviews show this sticking is still a problem. I like the size and the features and the fold -up design, but if a new one is going to stick, then maybe I should choose another brand. Any help?

A good waffle maker, but loses non-stick

I bought my first one years ago, and the non-stick wore off pretty quickly. I was still able to use it with a lot of work. I finally got another one for Father's Day. It is working great, but I would like to be able to purchase additional plates for my original. I would like to run both when making my waffles. I clicked on the "parts" link, but it took me to a powertools servicenet place. Where can I get replacement plates?
