So Disappointed

I loved this fryer the first 3 times I used it. It worked great, was large and the oil filtration was a great feature. The fourth use I had difficulty getting the oil to drain but it eventually did. The fifth use - no drainage. It is of course just barely out of warranty - I haven't had it a year but my daughter bought it early as a Valentine's Day present. I'm trying to contaqct the company because I really do love the fryer but I don't hold out much hope.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Parts Service

I bought two extra storage bins and they arrived without oil plug or drain/lock valve. Two lids, two containers AND NO HARDWARE. BEWARE ! Parts not available and no mention that they did not come with hardware.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thing is a dud! The oil will not heat up. Used it twice like most other customers. Pull this product off the market. Junk!!

Love it! The best deep fryer I've ever owned.

I absolutely love this deep fryer. I have had several other deep fryers in the past. This one is the best so far. I've been using it for 9 months now. It cleans up and stores easily.
The filtration works great. One mistake I made was putting too much oil in the bowl. When I later drained it to clean the deep fryer, the oil box overflowed and leaked on the counter. That was my own fault. DO NOT OVER FILL the bowl. Pay attention to the fill lines inside the bowl.
The control unit and heating element are not dishwasher safe, but everything else is including the oil box which can be disassembled. This makes clean up easy.
The only thing I don't like about this unit is the lid. I wish it was attached to the unit and flipped up. Instead, you do have to be careful removing the lid to avoid burning your hand with the steam coming out of the vent, not dripping any oil that has splattered on the inside of the lid, and finding a safe place to set the lid down so you can empty the basket. Otherwise, this unit is perfect. Some people have complained that it doesn't have traditional temperature markers (i.e. it has 356 instead of 350, 374 instead of 375), but I really don't think that is an issue. You can turn the dial in between where you think your desired temperature is.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible system

I used the fryer twice on 3rd use oil would not get hot. Cord is not strong connector magnetic is weak

Please note that the temperature rating is based on the temperature output of the heating element and not the temperature of the oil. When measuring the heat output we would advise using the appropriate thermometer and measuring nearest to the heating element as possible. Worked ok for few years.

The concept is great. The heating element is no good. Never got hot enough. I checked it with a thermometer and the unit would not heat the oil up to 375F. Maybe 350F max. Then 3 yrs after purchase heating element is dead and the unit is worthless.
