WOW! Amazing Product!!

I am trying to organize old family photos that go back nearly forty years, and many of the pictures are gone, but I still have the negatives. First, I scanned a portrait---and the result was nothing short of amazing!! Next, I snapped negatives into the holder and scanned those---and WOW!! I now have excellent digital images of the photos from the negatives! I have not even used the enhamncement software, and the outcome was nothing short of remarkable. HIGHLY Recommend!

I love it, but....

My model is seven years old and I love it. I would like some upgrades in the editing area.
However, my biggest complaint is the fragility of those neg and slide holders! Just too darn weak.
PLEASE put out reinforced types of those things.
Thank you,
Mac

Nice product/support

I read the reviews before purchasing the V750, some I found helpful and some not. It took me about 8 hours to download the windows 7 64bit drivers, install the scanner, install SilverFast and set up printer-scanner-monitor color profiles via encluded "EZcolor by X-rite. Everything went seamlessly with excellent results! I got this scanner for a couple of reasons first I like Epson product support and the other the 4870 it replaced needed an upgrade. I also own a Nikon Super CoolScan 5000 which is a great scanner however Nikon dropped the ball with Windows 7. When it comes to driver support Epson is the best of the best! Micro as in Soft could care less if their out coming OS renders your exspensive hardware investments obsolete so it is a refreshing relief knowing that Epson is right there when you need it the most. oh yeah I would recommend this product to even family...

Worth every penny

I just started shooting with film again due to a client request and it has become a popular option. With the cost of the lab doing the scanning I needed to save some money and decided to try it myself. It took some practice but I now have it down and love the results and more importantly so do the clients.

Epson V750-M Pro scanner

This scanner is great. It works very well for us in terms of accurately capturing good quality images from slides, negatives, prints and documents. It is also simple enough to use, even in the professional mode.
My one complaint is file naming limitations. Not being able to use certain reserved characters in file names is problematic for us. We are consistently renaming scanned files to fit the conventions of all of our other software. Most other software that we interact with is quite able to accept the reserved characters.
Otherwise, in the three years we've had it, we have made good use our scanner and it is still working beautifully.

Great Scanner

This is one of the best and most versatile scanners available in this price bracket. I have been working with this scanner for 3 years in varying ways from fine art reproduction to slides, negatives, and print reproduction. My only complaint is that it is not larger! Epson, we'd love to see this technology available in at least a 12 x 18" format.

I have a problem.............

I bought my epson scanner in 2006. Haven't used it often but always loved it. When I recently switched from windows xp to windows 7, it still worked fine. Then it inadvertently became unplugged one day recently. When I plugged it back in, it would not work. I have spent hours with it, but I still cannot get it to work. Help! I love thisproduct

Epson V700 Photo Excellent

I have used a lot of scanners - the V700 is excellent for quality. The time to scan negatives and 35 mm slides to a decently large filesize is slower than I hoped but the quality is great.
Having the large flatbed is very useful and the plastic film guides are finicky but accurate.
