The V750 is super expensive and does OK scans. I scan a alot of stuff on it and I love being able to scan my old negatives in.

Best purchase

I´ve been using other brand scaners and I upgraded to this V750 pro. It´s easy to use and the images are clean and sharp. I work with old B&W negatives in several sizes, even old glass based negatives (more than 90 tears old) The scaner gets the best possible results. Only one thing, the negative's holders are fragile and there is no replacement as accesories. So be carefull!!!

Good Value and Results

When I purchased this scanner in mid-2007, it was a very good value. Scanners with comparable capabilites cost twice again as much. I initially used included Adobe PE and SilverFast software and over time upgraded to more powerful versions.
Using this scanner, I've scanned over 5,500 negative transparencies and several hundred photo prints using SilverFast, typically for ultimate use with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Scan results were excellent.

Great scanner - disappointing build

It's a great scanner and gives outstanding results. It should for the price.
I was disappointed to find that Epson's usually outstanding quality fell short on my unit. There's a fingerprint and dirt on the inside of my glass.

A genuine help!

Having tried other scanners and solutions to deal with rescuing images from my thousands of slides, I purchased this scanner with rather low expectations. It always takes me time to adjust to new technology, but this fine equipment was up and running and giving me superior results within a half an hour out of the box! Sure, I haven't mastered all the bells and whistles yet and probably won't need them. What I have achieved though is the ability to convert my favorite slides into exhibition worthy prints with an astonishing ease by adding this to my digital studio. The one critique I would make is that the slide and film holders seem delicate and will receive cautious treatment from me as time goes by.

I shopped the internet for several days looking for the best price. I am director of the Louisiana History Museum and every day I normally am scanning vintage photographs from the middle 1800's to modern times. I took a chance and ordered a refurbished machine from Epson. Savings mean a lot when you have limited funds... After scanning a number of vintage photographs and negatives..120-35mm and slides. The scanner preforms perfectly. My only complaint is like those before me.. Very cheap and light weight negative frames...But if you are careful they present no problem. For my purpose it is perfect.

Excellent Purchase

Loading a large volume of slides dating back to 1953. It does an excellent job and is the reason for which it was purchased. Reflectives are also of very good quality. Make sure you have lots of memory so you can achieve optimum quality. Great price compared to comparable high end systems.
