Fab phone-former BB user 5 yrs./happy I switched!

Always been married to Blackberry but BB Torch keyboard was just too darn small! After 2 yrs decided to get Iphone but still wanted keyboard so ATT Rep introduced me to Captivate Slide and I love it! Bets of both worlds: touch & Keyboard. Camera is awesome and design is classy!
Pros: menus, camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting, keyboard slide, design/size
Cons: glide is a little strong-need both thumbs, no spellcheck

The Samsung captivate glide has a great design, a wonderful camera, the qwerty keyboard is a life saver. The batery lasts all day long, even if im playing or downloading stuff. It has so many options to customize it to your very own needs and android has the best app store. It is very light and the gliding keyboard seems very sturdy.
You must buy a case for this phone because the back cover is so thin that it will ruin your battery/phone with any contact with water.

Get this phone.

Get this phone. I have had this phone for a few months now. I have friends who have iphones, and other more expensive android phones, but they agree my phone is better. The iphone is really nice, but lacks some of the little things that you would never expect a phone to do, but this phone has too many features to list. Also in comparison to other androids, this phone is amazing because it does everything they do but also has the Keyboard. The keyboard speeds texting accuracy so much, but at the same time has the onscreen keyboard with swype that is amazing. So if you think you would be happier with just a touchscreen you will be proven wrong once you have this phone. Also this phone is fairly sturdy. The back is plastic and textured for no slip usage. The front is a solid screen. With such construction no case is needed, just get a clear screen protector as you should any phone.
So in conclusion, although this phone is like any emerging technology and has a few bugs (thats what updates are for) it still reigns as an excellent piece of equipment.

I love this phone!

I have had little trouble with this phone. It's easy to text with, the camera quality is amazing and there's so much you can do with this phone.
This is my second android phone, after the samsung captivate, and I've had a lot less problems since I switched. The slide out keyboard makes it a lot easier to text or work on documents!
It does freeze sometimes, but not so much that it's become a problem.
The only cons about this phone besides the occasional freezing is the battery life. I have to turn off my wifi and 3g most of the time to make it through the day. Also, the front-facing camera is not as good as I expected.
Other than that, I love this phone and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I've had the phone for almost a month and I really love it. I can't stand the touch screen texting so this being a full keyboard is awesome!!! My only beef is the battery life. Other than that the screen resolution is great, love all the features and of course the full keyboard. Great job Samsung!!

Best of both worlds!

this phone is for those who love their keyboard but want all the features of an new phone with cool features such as 4G and good camera. I got this phone about a week ago and it is so easy to use, the keyboard is great because the letters are spaced out, which makes it easier to use and less typos. There is also an on screen keyboard for those who like to use both manual keyboard and tap keyboard. The screen is a good size, and there are tons of apps from the android market. I have lots of apps running, and i text though out the day and the battery is fine. only downside is there are no protective cases out yet!

This phone rocks! Not many phones out there that have a full keyboard is good now a days, except this phone. I let my Girlfriend play with my phone and she instantly said "My iPhone 4 is boring compared to this I'm so switching" Had no idea this phone is better than the iPhone haha.
