Nice Smartphone with a Physical Keyboard

For the most part I've had no issues with the Samsung Captivate Glide. I chose the Glide over the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Skyrocket primarily for the Keyboard. Even with the addition of the keyboard, the phone doesn't feel heavy or bulky to me, and it fits nicely in a pocket.
Like any new phone, there is a slight learning curve as you learn where things are and how the phone is programmed, but once you learn, it's a simple, quick phone.
I had no issues with setting up Wi-Fi for it, and the auto-off feature of the Wi-Fi (meaning it only uses battery/cpu if connected to a Wi-Fi network is nice. If I need it, it is on and connects to authorized networks automatically, so there's no need to actually turn on the Wi-Fi. The GPS has a similar functionality setting, so GPS can be on, even if I'm not using something (such as a navigation tool) that requires GPS.
Streaming Videos from Youtube, or downloading Apps from the Android Market has been a breeze with this phone. I have not encountered any lag or freeze issues.
However, the phone isn't perfect, though some of the issues may be more Android OS related than the phone itself.
My most major dislike about the phone is the screen size. While 4" is nice, this would be a much nicer 4.3" screen phone.
Other dislikes include the fact Android has no alphabetic sorting for icons in created folders. They simply display in the order they were entered. But, as the saying goes - There's an App for that.
The other dislike (as I've read elsewhere) is applications don't always close upon exit, so I end up going to Task Manager (or using the Active Application widget that is standard) to ensure all applications are closed before locking/shutting down.
To the people that say the battery life is too short.. helloooo - it's a smartphone.. if you are constantly listening to music, surfing the web, playing games, etc, then of course the battery is going to need to be recharged daily. But if you are a light user, the battery can easily last a few days.
Pros: tools, camera/video quality, battery life, ease of use, good for texting, physical keyboard
Cons: small keys

This is the first smartphone I have ever owned and I am definitely not disappointed. I have had this phone for a little over a day now and it is amazing. Not as bulky as was anticipated but that might just be because I have big hands. Keyboard is well spaced out and very easy to use, which is great with someone with large hands. The 4" screen allows everything to be spaced out on your homepage and allows easy access to anything you need. It does feel like it might be fragile but once you start playing around with it you start to realize how sturdy it is. Images on the screen look great, not as good as the Super AMOLED Plus but you won't even realize the difference until you put it up to a phone that has the Plus. I have seen on some websites that this phone has 1080p video recording capabilities and it actually only has 720p but it still looks very good. There is very limited memory but they do have a SD slot so it is an easy fix. Have heard complaints about the Android software but I have not had any problems so far, granted I am not very knowledgeable about software so my opinion is not the greatest on this topic. All in all a very good phone.
Pros: tools, menus, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, durable
Cons: limited memory

Finally, a top-end slider phone!

I cannot say enough good things about this phone. I have been stuck with a Fuze waiting for AT&T to finally pick up a high-end phone with a full keyboard, and this is it. Everything about the phone is great. The keyboard is perfect for cranking out long e-mails on the go and texting like a boss. The camera is solid and has a flash. The speakerphone is very loud and clear, to the point a I can do my conference calls with it (not an option on any of my previous smartphones). Gotta love the Tegra 2 chip and Tegra gaming as well. Samsung really brought a high end full QWERTY phone to the table here at a very fair price. Facebook and Skype integration are also rock solid.
AT&T - believe it or not, you have business customers who absolutely need a full keyboard to crank out memos, e-mails, and even edit presentations on the fly. Also, grown-ups like to text too. You need to maintain at LEAST one phone like this in your stable at all times, and HTC has not been filling this role since the Tilt 2.
Pros: tools, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting

EVERYONE I know, including my spouse, loves their iPhone. Being a male with large fingers, I have held out for a similarly capable device with a slide out qwerty keyboard. After 9 days, this appears to be an excellent device. The slide out is very good, with widely spaced keys and useful bonus keys. The touchscreen keyboard is also excellent with very user friendly predictive text. Application and internet speed are robust. Phone quality is excellent with great reception, voice quality, and bluetooth. The display is beautiful and camera quality is very good. Battery life has been strong compared to my spouses iPhone. Android operating system is stable to date with great flexibility. Voice dialing is weak in this version of android however.
Pros: tools, menus, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting

This phone is excellent. The display is beautiful and crisp. This 4g speed is good. The phone is durable with a scratch resistant case. The sound is load, gaming is fast, video streaming is great. Overall the best keyboard/touch screen phone out there. Andriod is a pretty defined operating system so it will take a while to get use to everything but this phone offers a great easy to use, manageable layout. You'll love it, If you had thoughts about buying this phone GET IT! I recommend it. Its great for users who wont give up a keyboard!
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life

This phone is EXCELLENT! I love how easy it is to text and email, the screen is fast and vibrant with basically no lag. The only problem I can find with it is that the power button is on the side. Normally this would be fine but since this has the slide out keyboard I always accidentally push it when I'm opening it which gets really annoying. It would be much easier if it was on the top, that way you wouldn't press it whenever you went to text or something.
Pros: speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting
