I just just played with this device in the store and I am impressed beyond my good common sense. This was a fantastic improvement from the previous Captivate. This device is super smooth and does not have any lag time when scrolling to the different home pages. Accessing the internet was lightning fast. The camera has great clarity and the addition of a flash has proven to be a masterful upgrade. However, the feature that sold me was the slide out keyboard. Needless to say, I am truly Captivated!!!
Pros: camera/video quality, ease of use

My 2nd Android phone, best out there!!!

I bought this phone because of the keyboard. LOVE IT!!! I originally had a Sony X10 with AT&T which was a little ahead of it's time when first released. That had an 8.1 MP camera, but the camera on the Glide is so much better. The clarity and with the auto flash. The phone has a super fast processor and easy to use. It has a much louder speaker than the X10 too. Definitely happy with this purchase.
Pros: camera/video quality, speaker, good for texting, qwerty keyboard

A Great Phone

After having the phone for a week, it has held true to its specs and reviews. The texting is incredible and the nice big touchscreen is good for web browsing. The phone calls are loud and crisp snd its easy to hear the other person through the ear piece as well. I am a heavy texter and the battery lasts me two days, which is good for a smartphone. Camera quality is good and the flash improves dark photos. I would recommend this phone to someone who is beginning with an Android smartphone because its easy to use and hard to press random buttoms and use up data.
Pros: camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life

I love this phone!

I waited years to upgrade. I was a HTC user, tilt and 8525, but never found a smartphone I liked enough to upgrade to and add the dreaded data plan. This is it! I love the keypad!
As a 50+ female, I dread new things, but this was a breeze to learn. It does much more than I need it to do, and I'm sure I will never learn or use all the features, but it does good for me!
Battery life is so so, but I plug it in every night and it usually makes it though the day.
Since it is a newer phone, I am wondering if there is a over-heating problem, as it does seem to get pretty warm sometimes...but I'll just wait to see if there is a problem across the board, or if it's just me.

I would like different message tones for different people, which I know the iphone has. But that's a minor issue. Easy to make ringtones...
Backs up to google, which I'm not too sure about. Let's just hope if I need to restore, I'll figure out how to access the info on google.

I love this phone..it is so fast..the display is awesome and the keyboard is so smooth. the volume for the music is very loud. i cant keep my hands off this phone if you are looking for a fast great display and full qwerty keyboard phone this is the one you want

The phone is amazing. I can keep my hands off it. I love it so much. If you wonder whats on the phone and would like to no more just Youtube "Samsung captivate glide"

The Samsung Captive glide is one of the best phones i've ever used. The Captive is fast, functional, easy to use, and very much eye candy (For me at lease). If i had to give a con about it, that would only be the battery life. The battery life isn't "bad," but it's not great either. Then again, for all the phone does do, graphics, live backgrounds, nav, and videos, it's understandable that the battery life isn't the greatest. It's worth it. Every feature this phone has suits me and fits just about everything i do on a day to day basis. It's everything i need all on my waist. If you're a Texter, this phone will be your new best friend. the QWERTY "Glide" keyboard is one of the best i have used in a long time.
Overall, this phone is durable, easy to use, and very, very functional!

a QWERTY smartphone to love

Great choice for those who want a smartphone, but don't want to solely rely on a touch screen for everything. Great resolution and and sound. Camera is very nice, but it is a little slow when it comes to taking photos, nearly 2 seconds to capture. One thing is one of the games that was pre installed on the phone after download froze some of the other games I have installed, but after just restarting the phone, everything was OK. Same thing goes for using the GPS. A couple of times I had to restart the phone after getting to one destination and the phone was taking forever to locate the GPS, once I restarted the phone it worked just fine. Besides the just couple of mini flaw I have, this is a Great phone for anyone to have.
Also wished that ATT/Samsung would have phones with Android 3.0 or higher,
