I use my phone mainly for phone calls and texting with the occassional picture taken. After having tried and failed to adjust to a different 'smart phone' I switched to the Glide and have been very happy. Excellent phone
Pros: Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting, camera/video quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a awesome smartphone that more than gives the iphone a run for it's money. I can pretty much do anything on this phone. It is like a mini computer. The only drawbacks is the lack of flash, non forward facing camera and the battery life is low.
Pros: tools, menus, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life, no flash
I would recommend this to a friend!

I recently had an htc inspire, and loved it. But I wanted something with a keyboard. After looking online I went to the store to see the glide. I loved it and decided to buy it. The keyboard is so easy to use, it takes great pictures, and the display is good. It has messed up quite a few times though, and I will probably be taking it back. It doesn't want to show me pictures on facebook. The keyboard has messed up a few times and so have the buttons on the screen.
Pros: camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: software bugs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stuck with It

I wanted an upgraded phone from my LG whose battery wouldn't last 3 hours w/NO use...The ratings were great on this phone. I've had it for a month.....When you're attempting to use the speaker phone, your caller cannot understand you unless your mouth is almost eating the phone. Within 2 wks of having the phone, my e-mail notification kept going off and I wouldn't even have a new message. Customer support reset the phone and directed me to Samsung Customer Support because its an apparent programming issue...I check the email when it goes off, get charged for being on the internet and it's a programming glitch. It's no glitch that i went over my data plan and i'm barely on the internet. I'm a texter and talker but not a surfer. That's why we have home service....Now i'm into this phone for 2 years and no help from AT&T. Yesterday the voicemail icon appeared and i have no new messages....guess what? ANOTHER programming glitch. 23 more months of 'glitches' and no resolutions. Awesome pictures, clear screen but too many glitches. And no users manual when it arrived. I was ready to pack it up.
Pros: camera/video quality, battery life, good for texting
Cons: software bugs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awkward, HORRIFIC BATTERY LIFE, Keyboard FAIL.

Coming from an outdated Blackberry 9700 I couldn't wait to upgrade to an Android device.
Pros: phone can run more apps than BB, internet is decent speed.
CONS: battery dies in about 8 hours with average use, (heavy use it dies in 4)., The display KILLS the battery even though I have all settings to the lowest, shortest possible, sometimes the settings change on their own to higher levels. The power button is very awkward, it gets hit when it shouldn't and i can't hit it easily when I need to. I hate having to clear the screen in addition to hitting the power button - too many steps Android. It doesn't vibrate+ring like its set to, (yes I have tried all settings). Volume button is awkward, keyboard is TERRIBLE. Spell check doesn't work with physical keyboard, keyboard alt and shift always screw up my typing. There is no LED light to flash when you have a msg, you have to turn phone on constantly to check it. A lot of apps close with error messages. phone is too big, keyboard is too wide to fit comfortably in my hands, I could thumb text in one hand with the BB. Touch screen typing is slower and creates too many errors. Android or Samsung should really include copy/paste/screen shot as standard features rather than charging for apps. I have only had this phone since Feb. and I can't wait to get rid of it. I want my portrait physical keyboard back!!!
Pros: speaker, Wi-Fi capable
Cons: battery life, operating system, bulky/heavy, software bugs, freezes, physical keyboard
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
