Not a good phone, I don't recommend it.

I've only had this phone for a year, I barely use it and now the battery dies fast and I have to keep it plugged in most of the time. It shuts down by itself and I have to take out the battery in order for it to be able to turn it back on. After I update my apps I still cannot see pics on Facebook or Twitter. Its annoying and a waste of time.

For the record this is my first smart phone. I read literally hundreds of reviews and comparisons, watched videos, went in and tested and handled countless models and studied the three main smart phone operating platforms. I purchased my Infuse about two months ago and I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with it. Yes, it is a little bit older technology (only a single core processor). But honestly, when I have compared it to much more expensive phones, the extra speed you get from the two cores is not worth the extra money you pay. Here is why I like my Infuse so much: 1. It is stable. I have had no freezes and it performs wonderfully. 2. The camera is excellent! 3. It upgraded to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread about a week after I bought it and that was extremely welcomed. (I bought it knowing it had 2.2 and may never get 2.3.6 so this was a HUGE plus). 4. It's has a beautiful, bright 4.5 inch screen that makes it actually usable. (I don't think I'll ever get anything smaller than this, this is what makes it useful and realistically a do everything device).
Now here is what I have done to my phone to dial it in just right: 1. Went to the Android Market and downloaded Go Launcher. This makes a huge difference in the performance of the phone. 2. I didn't go app crazy and indiscriminately download all kinds of stuff to my phone. I shopped pretty carefully and test drove a lot of them and dumped a lot, but kept the ones I found worthy. 3. I don't run a bunch of goofy widgets on my phone, actually just one the Go Weather widget. You have to realize that if you have all this stuff (Widgets & such) running in the background it's going to use all your RAM (memory) and your battery and pretty soon you'll be saying "Bad Phone! Horrible Phone! " 4. Skip the app killers and Battery Defenders and all that. Why? 1) They take up system resources (memory and battery) and 2) You can use the stock Task Manager or one that is embedded in the apps screen with Go Launcher. This phone has a half a gig of memory and it runs pretty well with it but after a long session of browsing, checking my calendar, making a few notes and doing other stuff, I'll just go in and with two taps the running apps and process are all cleared. (You have to remember to reboot it once in a while too - but how tough is that?)
The battery is a little weak on this phone but it is adequate. I do everything I want: Use the phone, surf the web, take pictures, use my calendar, etc. It lasts O.K. I don't set my screen on auto bright I just keep it at about 60%, which is bright. Sometimes I run it full tilt but I usually don't need to, the screen is just really vibrant without it turned all the way up. I do turn off my data connection and / or wifi when I don't need it, and I don't keep my GPS on unless I need it.
The GPS is solid, the data and wifi are easy and reliable, the speeds are great most of the time and I am just really impressed with the device.
Two final points. One, get a decent case (I have a Ballistic SG two piece case. Yes, it adds some bulk but it also adds a lot of protection. (You can skip the screen protectors, it has Corning Gorilla Glass and you don't need them). Two. Don't reduce your life to a 4.5 inch screen or 3.5 or whatever you wind up with. Life is the people and world around you. Don't pull your phone out and stare at it every idle moment. Connect with people, make eye contact, smile, take in the world around you, use all your senses. Don't reduce the world and your life to a phone.
It's a great phone / mini-computer. I highly recommend it

I have been an iPhone user for quite sometime now I tried the Captivate when it came out and was not impressed so I was wary of Android. When i decided to buy the infuse I made sure the 30 day return policy was still available just in case...no return here though!! This phone really outshines the iPhone with how you can customize everything and really make the phone yours. The battery life is typical of a smartphone and usually needs to be charged every night. I would suggest any iPhone loyalist to try this phone if you are thinking of switching but just not too sure, you won't be mad you did!!
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: battery life

I recently changed carriers to ATT and got two Infuse's. One for me and my sister. We both love it! The large screen has a beautiful display..many people comment on how big it is but looking at my old phone I can't imagine going back! The touch screen is really responsive. The camera takes amazing pictures front and back. The dual core processor it has makes it run really fast. I haven't had one issue with this phone...and I am really judgmental of phones!! It works for everything I need. My sister and I recommend this for sure!
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, speaker, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: poor navigation, volume level, speaker while using the phone

To be honest, this is my first Android phone. I purchased a refurb unit online, and was a little anxious about it. After learning to navigate it, I had little trouble doing anything I wanted. I haven't used my laptop in 5 days...doing it all on this phone. To say it's a perfect phone would be stretching it. ALL phones have their little idiosyncracies...you learn to work with them. It is a large phone, and once you put it into the ballistic case, even more so, but you'll never have to worry about breaking it. The display is absolutely beautiful. I have no trouble streaming my Netflix on it. Android market is full of good apps, and managing your apps is very simple. Pictures and video are crystal clear, however the speaker could be a bit better, but hey...thats why there's headphones. I added a 32g memory card and packed it with all my music so I don't need a dedicated mp3 player anymore. Posting social updates one your favorite site is a snap. I have had this phone almost 2 months, in which time I have never had it freeze up. I have had apps that will glitch and shut down, but the phone has never locked up. I guess the only gripe I would have is the placement of the volume and sleep keys...when I push the sleep key, I usually accidently jog the volume key without knowing it, which turns my ringer volume down and I may miss a call. Other than that, I feel it is a terrific phone. I will never go back to pre-paid psuedo-smart phones again!
Pros: tools, menus, games, camera/video quality, battery life, Wi-Fi capable, durable, ease of use, good for texting
Cons: bulky/heavy

This phone is great. At first you think it will be too big because of the massive screen, but that's not the case. The Infuse is really light and thin, and just like any other phone to slip in your pocket. Even with a screen guard and cover, I don't think it's too big.
The screen is beautiful and I never have trouble seeing it even in direct sunlight. Swype makes texting and emailing a breeze. The menus are intuitive and the phone comes with many built-in applications. Apps from the Android app store install quickly. 4g is pretty good, and with WiFi this phone is very quick and responsive.
With a screen this large, the battery life can take a hit with constant use. I typically turn off GPS and Bluetooth unless I need them. I haven't yet had a problem making it through the day with a single charge. I also turn screen rotation off. I find it isn't 100% sure when I have it upright or sideways.
Long story short, this phone is the best one I've ever owned. I can't compare it to the iPhone, but I'm not even tempted to get one because this thing rocks.
Pros: menus, camera/video quality, Wi-Fi capable, good for texting
Cons: battery life
