This refrigerator is perfect for a busy family on the go. The alarm on the door reminds us to keep it closed. The hot water feature is terrific for grits & oatmeal in a rush out the door for kids breakfast and mom loves the hot tea. We would definitely purchase again.

I love, love, love my GE refrigerator, microwave/convection and dishwasher. I bought the Cafe collection and my friends all love them and marvel at how fabulous they are.

As an Architect, I specify a LOT of appliances. I've toured some major high-end factories including GE's, and nothing compares to GE quality, price, and service.
This is the refrigerator that I put in my own home. We love the door dispenser and the option of hot water for teas. The interior LED lights are incredibly bright and there is a tremendous amount of storage in both drawers and shelves. This refrigerator is just perfect for my family of four. The counter depth option was our preference as we were remodeling an existing kitchen, but I just specified the 28.6cu ft for my parents' remodel... you can really see the +5 cu ft of size difference. The Cafe line has a truly spectacular look that ties right into the Monogram line of professional grade cooking appliances that I prefer in my designs.

The features in this machine are too numerous to name. My favorites: veggie drawer keeps fresh foods fresh far longer than I was accustomed to; the interior lighting is amazing; hot water and precise fill are a nice innovation; freezer is sectioned off nicely, making it easily to organize. Counter depth looks very nice, but limits interior storage depth. Very quiet.

Looks great - but rarely works

This refrigerator looks great and offers great features (hot water, fresh food drawer, etc.) and started out working great. Unfortunately after six months of ownership it has stopped cooling on multiple occasions. The symptoms are the same each time. The fans start making more and more noise and eventually stop altogether leaving the fridge at room temperature. This is because of ice buildup that eventually stops the fans. A service guy defrosted the ice and put vaseline on the seals to no avail. (He speculated some air was leaking in, so greased the seals to get them to seal better). As the warranty is repair only, I'm stuck with this lemon and resigned to having to deal with this problem every 8 weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Made in America! Who made it.

Bought a complete kitchen. The refrigerator looks very sleek. For a cabinet depth holds as much food as it can. Two stars? The ice/ water dispenser did not work from the get go. The tech blamed it on the install. 3 attempts to fix a new refrigerator. They replaced with a new one, after many calls from me. The refrigerator makes many sounds. The ice maker, compressor, and water, you get use to it. Now I figured out one of the burners on the stovetop is not working. :( They look nice but better find another model/brand if you do not want to have to fix new product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
