bought the ge cafe 2 months ago. i like the space in the fridge compared to the side by side we previously had. Main problems I have with this fridge: 1. The ice bin is VERY small!! Fills a small ice bucket. 2. The fridge is loud. When the fan (or whatever goes on and off in a fridge) runs, you can really hear it. Annoying for an appliance at this price level!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very pleased with the design inside and our. The shelf space and drawer work nicely for us . The doors have a professional "feel"... I "hear" the refrigerator seal when I close the doors. The cold air circulates well...in hot or cold "spots"

six months in.....after vowing to never buy another GE appliance several features on this unit changed my mind. The cafe unit looks great and does a good job of evenly cooling the food. Beware of its negatives...It is very hard to clean, the ice capacity is too small, and after 4 months have already had the fan unit replaced.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So, far we are happy with this frig. Modern and good looking. Biggest complaint is the sound made when ice cubes dump into the bin. It sounds like a rifle shot. It is heard throughout the house. You would think that the falling cubes could be cushioned.
