Trouble with the ice maker

I have this refrigerator only since September of 2013 and the ice maker intermitanly works. I have had the repair man her and he replaced a part and I am having the same issue. Also this refrigerator was making weird noises last week and I had an appointment set up and then the noices stopped and it started making ice again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased our refrigerator almost a year ago. Freezer on the bottom is the only way to go. Love the water features--even hot water is available. French doors are great, too.

Great Option for Counter Depth!

I bought this fridge after significant research on numerous online sites, including consumer reports. The fridge has great quality and performance ratings, good support.
The fridge is a great value. The styling, 23 cubic feet in a counter depth refrigerator is probably the largest usable space in counter depth. The fold down shelf, LED lighting, touch screen, precise fill, are all great features that would normally be in a fridge twice as much.
I like the industrial look and one of the few models from major brands that have the flat doors.
Lastly, proud and confident in the quality given that this product is made in America.
However, would like to see a longer warranty on the compressor.
Also, the noise was a common complaint. I have found the noise to be slightly higher than our old fridge, but this seems to be a common effect of more energy efficient refrigerators across all major brands (Higher fan speeds and stronger fans). I have contacted service and they are sending someone to see if our fridge can benefit from a noise reduction kit.

Hot tea anyone?

This refrigerator is really wonderful! I was hesitant about losing some space with to it being the counter depth model, but that has not been an issue at all! My favorite thing about it though is the hot water option!

Excellent Refrigerator

We ordered this refrigerator before it was even released and waited more than a month as we wanted to have the Cafe Features, especially the hot water dispenser.
The interior lighting is great, it has lots of drawers and shelfs. It's also relatively quiet. I use the hot water feature for tea every day and it's very convenient.

Our new GE Refrigerator to go in our new kitchen

We remodeled our kitchen in July 2013 and after looking extensively, bought the just on the market GE Cafe Series CYE23TSDSS. The unit has been flawless other than being shipped without the door flap closer being installed. We got one and it was an easy self install. Since then all has gone well and we like the unit including using the hot water dispenser for tea and oatmeal. We had side by sides for years and worried we would not like the lower freezer but it has been great. Love the space, the adjustable shelves. Only challenge has been finding replacements for the odor filter.

Nice Product

We bought this for our new home. It has a nice look and blends well with any color cabinets and flooring. It seems to show fingerprints, smudges and scratches more than others but overall, we are enjoying the product.
