Would not buy this again

Noisy when it runs. The plastic protectant would not all come off at installation. Value for the price not there.

Poorly designed ice maker.

With only 2 retired people living here you would think ice would not be a problem. However frequent jams leave us wanting more ice all the time.
Six years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased all new GE profile appliances. Since our last appliances had lasted for over 18 years, we did not expect to have to replace them in 5-6 years. However, that is what happened.
We found GE appliances to be poorly designed and built.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Feature rich, hot water is a plus for our family

Moved into new townhouse with a kitchen island adjacent to fridge and am so so glad we bought the counter depth refrigerator. The thick doors do seem to eat up a lot of space inside but are great for holding 2 or more gallons of milk. Putting a jumbo size pizza inside the refrigerator is possible despite the thick doors but it requires some planning.

My dishes are sparkling. The steam and heat dying is wonderful. No puddles on the up sidedown coffee cups.. great bottle cleaner. Lots and lots of room with the racks going in the right direction.

Compressor became very noisy after about 9 months

Nice looking and nice feature, like hot water dispenser but as noted in other places, this unit's compressor became very loud after about 9 months.

We like it. The lights are good, its reasonably quiet, the door layout is good, the interior shelves work well, even for a few bottles of wine with the mid shelf slid back. The drink dispenser actually has us drinking more water, a good thing. The hot water part of the drink dispenser is silly, takes longer than putting a pot on a stove. Sometimes the ice cubes end up on the floor, oh well. The pictures on the front are fun. I really like the obvious things like the door alarm that dings when the doors are ajar.
