two bad frigidadire

we have had two in two months and both have gone bad. The place we bought the Frigidaire from has been so good when the first one would not cool they came and looked at it and he felt so bad he brought us a new one, instead of going through your stupid lets repair a brand new Frigidaire. Them the new one did the same thing in 30 days, so now the dealer has two to fix. If you were a good old american company you would give the dealer two new refrigerators. so he does not have to go through two repairs. W will not ever buy a Frigidaire again. Thanks for the headaches.

First unit needed to be replaced by the store after three days. The freezer icemaker stopped making ice.
The second unit started to brake down after 7 months. It has been repaired twice and STILL the unit is NOT FIXED.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This may sound weird, but what I really love is the way the lights in refrigerated section brighten gradually when you open the doors. Don't know why I think that's so cool, but it is. (Cool, get it?) This is a spacious fridge, with lots of storage on the doors, and I have no complaints. Okay, well, maybe one: The freezer handle tends to loosen about once a week, and we're not hard-pulling people. The good thing is that our installers suggested I keep the provided Allen wrench nearby to retighten as needed. And I do. I just didn't expect to have to do it so often. I've rated this fridge four stars because we like it a lot, but we've only had it for a couple of months. Ask me again in a year and THAT will be a more accurate rating.

Doesn't keep food cold

It doesn't keep food cold. My refrigerator thermometer reads non food temperature. I have it set at 32 degrees and still not cold. I have the freezer set at -3 degrees and still not cold enough. I must say it sure has a lot of room in lt.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor choice

I bought this bc I got a good deal, but it's brand new and I'm already needing it serviced. The freezer door doesn't shut properly so there is tremendous frost build up. The French doors don't line up correctly so there's always condensation. Plus 2 friends told they have the same fridge and the control panel and the ice maker broke for them. So if you're going to buy this, I'd recommend buying the extended warranty. I'm very disappointed. The slide under shelf isn't that useful bc the brackets still stick out.

Loud noises - no solutions

After 3 months of listening to a high pitched ringing sound, a repair person jimmy-rigged a solution, but now, after 8 months, it makes all sorts of sounds - apparently normal and acceptable. If you want a quiet fridge, don't buy this one. We warn anyone who sleeps over that they will hear strange noises coming from the kitchen. The joke in our house is...don't worry, it's just the fridge.

Possible mistake

Ice maker needed a service call after delivery and still took 7 days to fill the the ice container- at this rate it won't make ice as fast as we need it
