Pretty to look at, but many operational problems.

Bought this one year ago. Icemaker poorly designed. Full ice container will not activate shut off mechanism. Ice overflows, falls to bottom of freezer, and prevents door from closing properly. Severe, repeat problems with defroster function. Panel where thermostat is located freezes up. As a result fan will not operate, and move cold air to upper compartment. Thermostat replaced on a Monday-problem occurred again on Friday of same week. Temperatures rise in refrigeration compartment to 50-65 degrees F. Approximately ten times in the past year we have had to transfer both units' contents to other refrigerators and freezers, turn off appliance, open freezer door until unit thaws out. In addition to this repeated inconvenience, we have had to throw out significant amounts of food when the failures have happened over a weekend that we were not home.

Wish I could do over

I would not reccommend this product. The ice falls over the back of the bin/drawer and you MUST get on the floor to pull it out. If you don't remove the cube, the freezer drawer will not close. - It usually doesnt anyway. It contunally must be checked.

Temperature control problems

I bought this fridge 3 months ago and after the first month it started hanging trouble with the temperature control. I noticed it the first time after buying groceries and stocking the fridge the temp would start creeping up. It got as high as 68. We turned it off, put the hairdryer to the cooling element to defrost it then turn it back on. It took a full 10 hours to come down to the right temp. This process has happened 3 times. I called a repair man who came by after it was back working again and without seeing a problem he had no advice.

Works great, scratches easily . . .

I love the organizational features of this fridge on the inside and we don't miss not having a water/ice dispenser on the outside of the door. I also love that fingerprints and smudges easily wipe off. However, I should have been concerned about scratches more than smudges! We have several scratches on the front of the stainless steel doors -- one has been there from the beginning, one is from a plastic magnet that I didn't realize would scratch, and one from my 2 year old taking a fork to the front of it. Beware, don't use magnets! Also, not a big deal, but our freezer door handle has been loose since the 1st month or two of use, and the screws are not easily accessible to tighten. I'd recommend this model, but not in a stainless finish.

Freezer drawer & ice machine poorly engineered

Have had this refrigerator for 6 months and does not meet our expectations. The biggest issue is that ice cubes fall behind and under the freezer drawer causing the freezer not to close all the way. You don't know this has happened until the next time you open the freezer to find it covered in frost. Now you have to crawl on the floor and twist your arm behind the freezer drawer to look for fallen cubes. It takes a day or two for the frost to go away. This happens several times a month. The ice machine is very loud throughout the entire ice cube cycle. Don't notice ice cubes being made any faster in the quick ice mode. The freezer door handle is always loose. I do appreciate the smudge proof exterior this is the main reason we purchased this refrigerator. We would return it if we could.

Icemaker is TERRIBLE!

We have had the fridge for a little over a year. Just now, the icemaker stopped working. First, I had to completely turn off the fridge overnight to get the lines to thaw so water could enter. Then, when I plugged it back it, it made ice but the icemaker motor wasn't running. The location of the icemaker makes extremely hard to do any work on it. I love the fridge, but really regret the icemaker. I wish there was an easy way to fix it, but i've ended up taking the entire icemaker out to do some work on it, but now I realized its impossible to put back in without removing the entire bottom freezer drawer! Consider a different model PLEASE!

Prone to breakdowns

We got this refrigerator in January and have had service people out three times already. Actually, the first one we had delivered did not cool at all in the refrigerator section and we had to have it replaced. The second one does cool but has had numerous problems. The control panel is very sensitive and has has already been replaced. The ice maker is designed poorly. We have had more problems with the refrigerator than with any other we have owned. Overall, we have been very disappointed.

great features

I bought it a month ago and our ice maker already froze up. It produces too much ice for our family, so I had turned off the ice maker for a few days and when I went to turn it back on it was froze up.
