Love it but...

We bought this model 7 years ago, I love it but the handle cover is plastic. It cracked and fell apart. You'd think that the it would have better quality for the price. I have problems with my oven nobs as well.

Replaced existing Advantium

Our dozen year-old Advantium had a broken handle. It would have cost several hundred dollars to fix it. I decided to buy a new one rather than repair. Incidentally, it was the only thing that went wrong with the appliance in the many years we owned and used it.

Website misrepresentation

The photos of this product on the GE website misrepresent the product. There is an unsightly black piece that hangs below the body of the stainless steel unit which houses the light. It looks especially ugly if you have a light colored backsplash. The photos on the website do not show this. GE customer service indicated the the photo was probably of a prototype and did not represent the actual product. Go look at it in a showroom before you buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cafe Advantium a must in every home

My ratings say it all. This microwave makes the future here!
It cooks, broils, speed cooks/convection, and is a microwave.
The Cafe' Advantium over the counter range does it all and has a fantastic vent. We replaced a 40year old double GE range with this and the Cafe' Range. What a combo. It's, the OVC can really do it all if you are cooking for two and don't want to heat up the large oven and want it quickly. Great features and you just can not go wrong. Very efficient, convenient, and multi-functioning. Has a timer, great light, and finish sound is not ear piercing. Comes with everything you need, turn table, racks for oven use, and broiler turn plate too. Amazing.

Great, versatile appliance

I bought this to match a Cafe Dual Fuel range and have been very happy with it. Aside from basic microwaving, I like the bread proofing feature and the convection oven. Due to my small kitchen, it wasn't practical to have a full double oven but this gives me what I need as an extra oven to bake rolls or other things while my main oven is busy.
It looks great and is easy to use. The knob for selecting and adjusting functions and times is great. Haven't come across any feature I wanted that I can't find on this appliance. Very satisfied with this purchase!
