Almost Great, but a serious flaw.

There is only 1 flaw with this product and it’s the door handle. It is not a solid stainless steel, but rather a stainless covering plastic which, being an over the stove unit, has been effected by the heat and can not be replaced. GE no longer makes the part or has a third party solution to replacement. Y only recourse would be to either live with disfigured handle or replace the unit entirely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Handle Peels.

I bought this as a companion to the GE Cafe range, and the product is advertised
as an over-the-stove convection oven. After 6 months, the handle began to peel.
Rather than being made of steel, the handle is a plastic tube covered with a peel-offsilver paper. The plastic tube is white, and it is truly an eyesore once that silver
paper crinkles and begins to peel. Apparently, it is not resistant to steam, and so
while the dealer who sold the unit to us did replace the handle, we were told that it will likely happen again. The solution - do not use the power boil feature on the
oven directly below. So now we can either throw caution to the wind and use the
power boil, or not use one of the primary features we liked to avoid the peeling
problem. Really GE? An oven handle that is not resistant to steam?

Control Pannel Shorts when range is used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the oven except that when the power boil is being used on the front right burner the microwave control panel shorts and starts executing commands such as cook. This happens less frequently if you put the boost exhaust on prior to using the front right burner but reduces the overall usability of the ensemble.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We chose the Cafe series first for its professional look. But, what really matters is what is inside! Easy to use and with cooking functions beyond microwave gives me an all-in-one appliance that saved us space and provides for our needs.
It may seem like nothing, but we love the new dial, which is a super intuitive way to move though your cooking and time menu. I also really love the "on the fly" time edit that I often use when making even the simplest things like popcorn so I can add just a few more seconds to get it all popped. Style, quality, and ease of use! The only thing stopping me from giving the performance a perfect score may be silly. I just wish it was a full 1000 watts. I really don't even know if I would even see the difference, but that is the only issue I can come up with. So, buy with confidence and enjoy.

Awesome microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a versatile appliance! I have used it to microwave, bake, defrost, broil, keep warm and speed cook. Even with all it's features, it is very user friendly. The vent fan works better than any other over the range micro-hood we have had in the past.

Great when it's working

My husband bought me this last Xmas 2012 and now it's sept 2013 and I am on my second one and it is also broken. Such a shame, I love it when it works. But I am now 2 for 2 with them breaking . Wish the product was better.

Nice microwave

Works fine. Inside scratches very easily. Glass lid on my bowl made a dent in the back wall.. Very expensive to have this happen.
